Service was excellent, they make sure you’re taken care of. Staff look as if they enjoy their jobs. We were here for some beers and food. Let me just say we drove from Rock Hill and we weren’t disappointed. He had a Primal burger and it was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had Fish and chips imagine your fish fried in a batter to look like 2 huge egg rolls and steak fries which honestly at this point I didn’t care if they were frozen or not because they were nice and crunchy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. I had the Pumpalicious pumpkin ale with a sugar rimmed glass and I don’t usually drink beer but I had 2 of these and I’m glad I did because it literally was like hav...
The beers and staff were great as usual. They are very attentive. We are pretty regular visitors and discovered that they just recently changed the menu. This menu did not have the fantastic flatbreads, sliders, and tots that we had previously enjoyed. What we ordered tonight was not very good at all. The fish in the fish and chips clearly tasted like it came from frozen. The BBB burger was overcooked and the bun was hard. We really like coming to Primal Belmont so hopefully this menu gets changed or at least improved. The wait for the food was longer than normal and we don’t feel like the prices and quality were a good match.
We have walked out from here multiple times due to poor service. Last week we paid for a beer from the bar knowing it might take awhile to get food. We sat outside and got a menu from a server. We slowly drank our beers and after 20 minutes with no acknowledgment from the staff, we left and went to a different restaurant.The 2 stars are for good quality beer and food when we can get it.Updated after visit last weekend, service was much better, multiple servers were attentive (though we did not order any food). Hope this is repeated at future visits.
We come here regularly and normally really enjoy it. Service was great. Beer and cider were on par with past visits. We were sad about the menu downsizing and changing but willing to give it a go. Pretzel was cold and undercooked. Beer cheese was runny. Burger was not even close to what it normally was...both my husband and son couldn't even finish it. Salmon tacos were cold and unseasoned. Super sad to say we may come back for the occasional visit but regular visits for lunch or dinner are going to move elsewhere.

Wonderful spot! The atmosphere was lovely, and the boneless wings were fantastic—we could have devoured three trays of them! I had the Hazelnut Kindness (I can't remember the exact name), and I also tried the pumpkin craft beer, which was really tasty if you enjoy sweet beers, but it wasn’t overly sweet. If you visit, ask for Julie; she was incredibly friendly and had excellent menu suggestions. I’ll definitely be returning!
Stopped in here on our way to Shelby, NC. Nice space in an industrial setting. Good indoor and outdoor seating although it was raining and a little chilly when we stopped by so we sat inside. Staff was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed a couple of beers and a soft pretzel (the cheese sauce and the mustard were pretty good) before heading back out to the highway.We'll be back next time we're in the area!
Let me clarify that the beer and wait staff are 5 stars but the new food menu is one star.We’re pretty disappointed in the new menu. Our pretzel came out cold and our Cesar salad was so cheap and sad that we didn’t finish.As someone who would go to Primal pretty frequently, this has changed our minds and we will only be coming back for an occasional beer. Very disappointing
Hey Primal, the beer is still fantastic, but today's service fell short of the exceptional standard we usually experience here. The drinks took a while to arrive, and the food took even longer. I hope this visit was just an exception. I'm also not a big fan of some of the changes to the menu, but I did enjoy the smash burgers.

We loved coming here, until earlier this month they cut over 50% of their menu out of the blue and then took over 2 hours to get our food to us. Extremely disappointed since we loved this spot before they made all the cuts. Food and service both have gone downhill. Sadly we will not be going back anymore.
