On June 17, 2023 I Finally got a chance to dine at Prime 55 in the Delmar loop. While the sweet glazed lamb chops hit the mark the rest of the meal fell flat. The potatoes and steamed broccoli vegetables melody lacked any flavor. In fact the vegetables were barely warm. The decor and service was simply terrible. There was no bread which is something you might expect at a restaurant advertising itself as a fine dinning establishment. The server’s attire was not becoming and to further diminish the reputation of this restaurant was the 4% charge if you used your debit or credit card. Then there was the 20% gratuity for a party of four. The place was very small. No salt or pepper on the wobbly...
It’s important not to be hypercritical of black owned restaurants (especially our own come on fam! The food here is absolutely delicious. The service could use a few improvements but all restaurants are suffering from staffing shortages right now. The steak I had was one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant, the atmosphere was cozy and the (overworked! staff still had a smile on their faces. I will return and I will recommend.
Although, there was 45min-1 hour wait for food due to several group gatherings, it was worth it. The atmosphere was awesome, the music brought back so many memories, my boyfriend enjoyed the opportunity to watch the game! Lol! The bartender was absolutely amazing! The drinks were all made perfectly and and the when the food came....the wait was well worth it. We will be back. Thank you for making our evening magical.
Flew into STL late and entered the restaurant at around 9:40. Waiter told us that the menu was limited due to the cooks getting ready to turn the burners off. The waitress asked if they could make the stuffed Salmon and Lamb Chops and they agreed. The food was amazing and we were so grateful for them accommodating us. I will definitely be back!!

The way they seated us was horrible. The food was absolutely disgusting. The service wasn't good. They charged my dads card without telling him it was a fee and then got smart with him when he asked about it. The food was absolutely disgusting!!!!
The food was delicious.I will definitely be back. The lambchops and the brownie were my favorite. But everything we ordered was good. Our waitress was very attentive as well.
This place was very nice and has great customer service I will definitely be back the lamb chops are so good I can't wait to try something else there ????
This a very beautiful black owned restaurant!! The staff is very nice, food is bomb and drinks are VEERRYY STRONG!! I will definitely be back?
