We booked a party here for my partner Ollie’s graduation, a pub he’s been coming to for years and is very fond of. The buffet food that was part of the private function was sublime! Presentation was beautiful, the variety was ample and quality was fabulous. The atmosphere in the pub is always so warm and welcoming and the effort and standard did not disappoint! Definitely somewhere to consider for any event or occasion, you can have your own music, access to your own space in the private courtyard at the rear of the pub with seating and tables. The welcome was great, the Roast was the best my friend and I have had in any pub, we were asked which roast would we like Beef Gammon or LAMB we couldn't believe Lamb was offered and the lamb was absolutely delicious beautifully cooked tender and plenty of it. We were out for a Sunday drive and it was by chance we saw the pub and couldn't stop but went a little further and turned around and we had the best roast definitely home cooked. 5 Star. Sorry to only put 4 star not for the pub but we must have gone wrong time as there were 2 families with very noisy children but it didn't spoil our lunch. Parking: Parking right outside and plenty .

I enjoyed the atmosphere of this pub, even with a few other customers present—just a sign of the times. The boss welcomed us warmly, and his wonderful assistant, an Alsatian named Prince, added to the friendly vibe. The locals were great; we had a lot of fun laughing and joking around. Didn 't bother to visit, the phonecall I made was enough to put me off. I enquired about what sport they were showing and the call was answered by the most miserable sounding male who answered I shouldn 't think so. It was as if i was asking if they were giving out free beer this afternoon. Service: 1
