Proof Kitchen and Lounge

We have been to Proof many times for the Fish and Chips, both at Easter and other non holidays. My family has all made comments that this particular dish is outstanding. That was not our experience on Friday March 29 2024. The fish was doughy inside and very crisp outside (could barely be cut it was so crisp), and the fish flavour was vacant. My son did bring this to our server’s attention and one piece was replaced. From that point on, we didn’t see our server again and another server cleared our plates and provided the bill. Brunch was great. The eggs Benedict with home fries was outstanding. Everything was high quality and fresh. The staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning for more brunches here in the future. Only complaint was that it was very quiet in the restaurant, some background music would have been nice to make it feel more relaxing.

The service was outstanding, the ambiance, lighting and sound allowed us to feel relaxed and enjoy the company of our guests. Our steak was a bit tough, but was compensated with a discount. Overall 9/10. We will be back

The food was very bad I had to return my plate and so that a few others in our table. The service was very slow It took over an hour and 20 minutes to get our food. I will definitely not be returning to this place
