Our dining experience was less than what I would have expected based on the reviews I had seen. We had 6 PM reservations and arrived promptly. When I checked in I was told the table was not ready and it would be about 10 minutes. That was a lie. At 6:15 I asked for a status and was told nothing was available yet. Our party of 3 was then offered seats at a “community table” with higher stools and no back. We refused that option since our feet would not touch the ground and it was not what I reserved. The food is very good but the service is very odd. For a jazz place on weekends they had no music playing on weekday and sound system for ambient music not work. Servers could be more prepared and welcoming and it is just very inconsistent of service side but the food and wine were ultimately good with bog portions. I want to love the place but basic service skills would help and make sure environment during week matches vibe on nights they have music with sound system for jazz or music. Sinatra and friends would be a good choice but they had no music that was audible making for either loud atmosphere with people or dull atmosphere without. We felt rush with 7:30 reservation and last dinner...
Food was very good, service was extremely slow. We heard the (owner? tell waiting customers it takes so long for a table because people eat and don't leave. Ironic since it literally took 25-minutes to get our bill after we asked for it. This is the 2nd time we have been there and she has openly complained about customers. I seriously don't know if I will ever go back after witnessing her rudeness...
Reservation at 6:30. Host stated at least 30- 40 minute wait. “I don’t know what to tell you. Two bigger tables in front of you”. While waiting a group of men showed up stated they called and were told they could come in. Management came over and they were seated in 15 minutes. I guess it’s who you know?
