Protzel's Delicatessen is one of the last authentic Jewish delis in St. Louis. Their pastrami and corned beef are outstanding, and they offer an excellent variety of pastries and baked goods—the cinnamon babka is especially delicious. They also have a unique selection of sodas, chips, condiments, and other deli products for sale. While seating is limited, the outdoor area is pleasant when the weather is good. Even if you don’t have time to dine in, it’s definitely worth picking up food here. I wouldn’t go to any other deli.
Love the kosher foods that this place offers and the service is unmatched. I recommend the corned beef and the chicken soup with matzo balls. Outstanding. Great place to eat! Today was my first time trying Protzel’s Deli. I ordered the Turkey Reuben, and it was pretty delicious. The service was good, even though it took a while to make my sandwich. I was also surprised that they had an aisle of food like a convenience store and their own apparel too. I will be back sometime.
This restaurant serves amazing food. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding, and the cupcake is a must-try, along with the babka. I can't express how delicious the flaky layers are. The staff was friendly and patient, answering all our questions since it was our first visit. We will definitely be back!

Great for a much needed lox and cream cheese on quite frankly, one of the better bagels in Saint Louis. Pastrami is excellent, on this I can say with certainty, as I lived in Manhattan for quite a bit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
We tried the corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, as well as the Rachel with turkey. Both were fantastic! The rye bread was perfectly crispy, and everything was freshly grilled. The owner was present and quite an imposing figure! We'll definitely be returning.
This is the only restaurant in the city that offers authentic Jewish deli cuisine. The matzo ball soup is amazing! (The photo taken during Passover captures one of the busiest days of the year; it's typically not that crowded.)

I was somewhat disappointed during my visit. I ordered the ribs and creamy coleslaw; while the beef was tough and not tender, the coleslaw was enjoyable. On the bright side, the ribs were excellent!
Great NY style deli. Eye of Round roast beef is some of the best I have had in STL.
