Hubby and I visited P'tite Ardois for our wedding anniversary. What a lovely evening we had together with authentic French choices like our favorite creme brulee and crepe suzette. We were greeted immediately and sat straight away. Wait staff were pleasant throughout with greetings all in French which is a nice touch. Kir royale was our initial drink of choice followed by a lovely bottle of red. Whilst a small wine selection we found it reasonably priced for the caliber. I have been driving past and "wondering" about going for months. I am a Francophyle and love the country, its food and people in no order. I took my wife, a fluent French speaker and experienced traveller, with an open mind. We came away besotted. We are leaving for our almost annual several months in Europe/France soon and wonder how we can fit in another visit to our discovery, before hand. A group of 4 of us visited this restaurant in late May (Saturday night). We booked for an early dinner and arrived not long after opening. The service from the beginning was excellent and the food was unbelievably delicious. The servings are not huge but that suited us fine. We had a bottle of French wine which was very reasonable priced. I have been several times in recent years and the standard is always very high. Highly recommended
I returned to sample again the truly delicious food at this elegant little bistro. It was a treat once again. How do they get so much flavour into what at first glance seems to be simple food. We have been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions and it is always just delicious. Authentic French food and a really authentic atmosphere with French waiters and music and a really terrific French Wine List. There a daily plates and specials from the blackboard, featuring seasonal produce. Nice for that special celebration.
I hadn't eaten French food before so we decided to try this restaurant. The food and service were excellent. It was the best meal I have had at a restaurant in a long time and really good value. Cannot recommend highly enough. The restaurant was packed which I guess speaks for itself. We will definitely be going back....
Good restaurant, French and friendly staff but one serious bummer or maybe its because it was raining. The restaurant had an awful stench most likely from the carpet that put me and my wife off the instant we got there. Hope something can be done even removing carpet and putting a different material floor.
Very nice place to visit. Quite well set out, catered well for a full restaurant and very friendly staff.A little slow on drinks service but totally understandable with 50 plus guests.Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy French cuisine and the evening entertainment added a wonderful touch to the evening Réservez une table maintenant
Arrived at 8 and welcomed in French. Great table with space for two. A glass of bubbles and the most enjoyable evening we have had in decades followed. Food was a tastebuds blast service was considered and consistent. A very enjoyable evening and yes we did praise the food and tip.
