We have had excellent delivery from Pure approximately 40% of the time when we are in need of a farewell meal, but we rarely dine at the restaurant itself. Wanting a special local lunch not too far from home, we decided to try Pure's well-regarded tasting menu. The cost was around £60 per person, excluding wine. We sampled the Indian red and white wines, which were both delicious and reasonably priced. As seasoned diners at Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, we appreciate good cooking and were impressed with Pure's offerings. as always shilpas cooking is precise and pleasantly easy. I took two friends who tended to eat spicy food away and rarely Indian. their commentary: the best Indian meal they have ever eaten. I had bhure pyaaz ka gosht lamb on the bone. slowly boiled in brown twill paste, pfeffercorn, kashmiri chili. new in the menu, this was one of the best Indian dishes that I can remember everywhere exquisite delicate lamb to suck a deep rich sauce and brand bones. heaven! follow this skala of joy through the black dahl eat her heart from dishoom, shipla’s dal makhani is just the best!
We had the pre starter taste of Bombay which was not only wonderfully presented, but full of wonderful flavour and Pathra Chaat, again so tasty. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and everything is prepared freshly. We also had mango lassi which my son...wanted they obliged. Swapnil was very friendly and attentive. Mains we had daal makhni and butter paneer masala , again which they obliged as we are vegetarian. Again both so well balanced and delicious. Had a good chat with Faheem after we finished , with my son Ishaan. Will certainly come back again. Thanks guys
After we ordered several times online, we went to the restaurant and we were not disappointed. they will fight to find a better Indian restaurant in the opposite, the quality is excellent. the aromas were carefully balanced, ingredients. very fresh and the dishes were served with thoughts and carefree. I especially enjoyed the fishery and the chana masala. also a very pleasant ambiente and welcoming staff. we had a nice evening and hope to visit an extraordinary local restaurant again soon! This was my second visit to this restaurant. A group of 8 of us arrived late on a Friday evening without a reservation. The staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service. The food for all eight of us was outstanding, with flavors that stood out from traditional Indian restaurants. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food. I look forward to visiting again next year during our annual Rugby trip.
Their food is delicious, however ordering a delivery is completely hit and miss. It’s happened too many times to be a co-incidence. They don’t answer the phone, the delivery rider is there waiting for ages…and then utter chaos ensures as the delivery driver aborts… I’d...love to recommend, but we’ve had too many Friday nights starving at 10pm. Use for delivery at your peril.
Called in after an evening game for a late night curry fix. A large birthday party on but a table was found for me. Despite the large party my service was still very good and my main course a memorable lamb dish. Nothing left as...it was all mopped up with a decent naan. Highly recommended.
