Avoid! Waited 15 minutes, having been ignored, before having to ask for a menu and no drink order was taken, despite only one other table being occupied. Waitress was totally disinterested. We left in disgust without ordering. Does not deserve one star, but unable to give no stars. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Great location near the castle, and very good food drink. Had the baby ribs, which were cooked perfectly with excellent chips. Others food also looked good. Don't often comment on drinks but the cider was crisp and ice cold ideal. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Traditional pub exterior revamped comfortable interior. Friendly bar staff and good selection of craft beers. Pie of the day was really tasty. Would visit again.
