I had a fantastic dinner with close friends last night. We often explore new restaurants in DC, and we couldn't decide if this was the best or the second-best dining experience we've had as a group. The food was delicious, unique, and imaginative. The staff was incredibly friendly and guided us through the menu and our selections. Each dish was outstanding, including the spicy jellyfish, octopus dumpling, and the truffle dumpling (I can't wait to have this again), as well as the crispy whole red snapper (I’m still dreaming about it), bobo chicken, and duck noodles. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would definitely be stopping by every couple of weeks for those truffle dumplings and a cockta...
This review has been a long time coming! We absolutely adore this neighborhood gem; it's one of our favorite spots in DC! The food is always exceptional, and we especially love the crispy pig ears as a quick snack. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their wines and drinks are unique and fun, and (most importantly) they taste fantastic—make sure to check out their natty hour happy hours! However, the best part has to be the consistently outstanding service from everyone in the restaurant. The entire staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the experience. It honestly feels like stepping into a well-decorated friend's home for a fabulous dinner party.
Lovely little place with open kitchen, which brings a real intimacy to the experience. Tried the crispy pigs’ ears and tofu and truffle dumplings. Both excellent. Daikon fritters also sublime. The drunken noodles were good but too heavy on salt. The ice cream dessert was amazing. Solid cocktails, great wine deals, and cheerful service make this a place to get to know. Will be back and hope they get a much deserved Michelin star.
We sat at the Chef's Counter where our server was both friendly and knowledgeable. The menu may be limited, but it's incredibly creative! There are plenty of options for both vegetarians and pescatarians. If you eat vegetarian, you must try the truffle dumpling. For pescatarians, the oysters with horseradish, coconut, and herb oil are a must. Everything we tried was outstanding! We will definitely be returning!

We tried out the place yesterday and was super impressed by the food here. Very tasty and full of flavors. We had crispy pig ears, shallot oysters, roasted cauliflowers, octopus pancakes, truffle dumplings, and crispy deboned red snapper. Server was wonderful, friendly and attentive. Price is slightly on the higher end but it was a great experience. Reserve in advance since they booked up quickly.
Queens English is a superb experience all around. Service was attentive, helpful and warm. The dishes were unique, inventive and bursting with flavor. I tried the pigs ears, lamb tartar, truffle dumplings, scallion pancakes and noodle dish. Every dish we tried we wanted more. The truffle dumplings were my personal fav, I will be back to order 3 plates for myself.
Best restaurant in DC and it isn’t even close. The food, the vibes, the atmosphere, the staff. Whoever didn’t give this place 5 stars has poor taste buds. The Daikon Fritters are out of this world. Crispy whole red snapper is divine. The wine and cocktails are 10/10. Stop thinking and make that res right now!
Every time I dine with you I eat something, or some combination of something’s, I’ve never experienced before. The food is so creative and beautifully balanced. The service is spot on. You have a wonderful restaurant. Visited on 2023-07-29

The food was well executed, but underseasoned and underwhelming. Drinks were too sweet. The watermelon mocktail had great flavor. Service was good, the atmosphere was nice.
