Words can’t describe how good the food is here. We had the rack of lamb and the New Zealand meat pies and they were not only cooked to perfection but the meat pies were likely one of the top meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service was a little off in terms of timing but that was likely due to staffing levels. It didn’t impact out food temperatures just timing on when meals and appetizers came out. It was my birthday that evening and they hit a home run by bringing out a lemon custard desert for me filled with animal crackers and whipped cream. If you’re in San Diego then you have to make this one of your “must do” items. Thanks for making my birthday this year so memorable!
We had the best time last night. They have a great venue in an old home. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a fun music play list. As far as the food I had the best rack of lamb of my life. It was truly cooked to perfection. Top that with an excellent old fashioned made for an excellent evening. Everyone in the family want to go back.
Service was too slow at the end of the night. It felt like we were sitting there for an hour after eating, waiting for the check, and had to flag someone down to finally get settled out. We both wake up early for work so it meant both of us needing to cut our night short after dinner.
Queenstown Public House is my favorite restaurant to show my friends what an delicious meal you can get in such a fabulously unusual setting. Our brunch service today was impeccable, the food was amazing and the ambience perfect! I’ll be back with more friends!
