The food was delicious. I got the Queenstown Farmer, with fried chicken as the meat option. It was so delicious. It came with 3 eggs- perfectly cooked, as I requested which was over-easy. It also came with a lovely buttered toast and some amazing strawberry jam. The wonderful thing about the strawberry jam is it seemed to pair nicely with both the chicken and the toast. What resulted was a lovely little assortment and combination of pairings. Sometimes it was the chicken and egg on toast. Sometimes it was chicken and toast with jam. We ate here on our last night in San Diego, there was only availability to eat outside it was a little cold so we just kept our jackets on. We ordered the queenstown burger and the wellington meatloaf. The portions were very generous to say the least! The burger was great but the meatloaf was not totally to our taste. Our server Philip let us try a few red wines before ordering, although I felt a bit of an inconvenience at times and he was not overly attentive. Our bill came to $110 in total. We had a pleasant evening but wouldn’t necessarily rush back.
We ate in mid afternoon on the patio so the restaurant wasn't terribly busy and we didn't go inside. My husband enjoyed the meat pies and I had a Wagyo burger. We started by sharing an heirloom salad which was more than enough for both of us and delicious. The tomatoes weren't as sweet as they hopefully will be in the summer. The entrees were delicious. If I lived in San Diego, I'd definitely look forward to trying other options.
As we recovered from a long day of travel, my husband and I wanted to nosh on something we couldn’t get at home paired with some local brews. Thanks to our chipper and knowledgeable server’s advice we were soon sharing delectable and perfectly seasoned sliders and a flight of the best drafts the area has to offer. When you go, be sure to ask for a table on the porch of this charming and tasty spot!

Queenstown Publick House has a varied menu with lots of New Zealand specialties. The burgers are large and flavorful. Sweet potato fries are exceptional, blue cheese topping is a nice added touch.Meat pies are a specialty and are excellent. Large draft beer and wine list. Great outdoor patio. Reservations are highly recommended as they get very crowded.
Weekend with the girls highlight in the Italian District on our way to the airport. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. I felt so welcomed here in this historic landmark I could have stayed all day! Breakfast drink menu is spectacular, food is outrageously good. My only regret is not having more room in my stomach to order more food.
Very low energy staff that are not friendly. Expensive entrees overall based on portion size. Corner location that has limited seating on rainy or cooler temperature days. Street parking. Food is not bad just when considering everything this place is lacking.
Located in downtown near Little Italy we popped in for evening meal. Great atmosphere and cool digs. The food was very good for a pub. The place was busy. Very nice staff and a good selection of beer. I had the meat pies and they were very good.
