Took my girlfriend and her mother out for her Mothers birthday. Food was great but kitchen service was quite poor. The waiter kept apologizing for the poor service. To be honest it was his fault as well. In addition, the noise levels were quite high. When we finished the meal and ordered the desert, tea and coffee took 30 minutes to be served. Yes 30 minutes for tea and coffee. Sorry I cannot recommend this restaurant, unless you have nothing better to do then wait to be served and can tolerate the noise level.
We went for dinner with another couple and had a very good meal.My husband ordered the Seefood platter while I had the Roast Beef.We also had the fried calamari as entree and the 1855 Salad.The portions are huge and the calamari were very good. The rosat beef is quite tender and we had plenty of fries and vegetables as side dish.You can bring your own wine so it's a very popular restaurant.We would come back to try other dishes on the menu.
This is a very nice restaurant with an outdoor terrace in a relatively quiet setting. I had the 18 oz rib steak with Monte Carlo potato. I ordered it medium, but it came out quite raw. However after I sent it back for some more time on the grill, it came back perfectly cooked. Very tasty. Service was high-end quality. Very friendly and efficient, but I would expect no less at this price range.
Best. Steak. Ever. Perfect preparation, tender and juicy, on the first try. A real bordelaise sauce, not too salty. Delicious fries. And to top it off, THE best crème brûlée I've had the pleasure to try. And I've tried several.I loved the ambiance - I have to say the company was perfect too.I will definitely be back.

Dinner with friends. Very pleasant atmosphere and bring your own wine steakhouse!Had the Angus steak....I can honestly say better than filet mignon that I have had in certain restaurants. Wife had the seafood platter....everyone in group of six was more than satisfied with quality and excellent service.
We went to celebrate after the F1 GP and as usual the 6 ounce filet mignon brought me to heaven. My wife had the salmon tartar and she just loved it.We went about a dozen times since it opened and we have never been disapointed.This time around the weather was good enough to be outside :-)Enjoy!

The whole family merged at 1855 for fathers day, the restaurant was packed, the service was impeccable and very happy with the quality of the food. and the BYOB formula is always a good one, you can splurge on food , because you are not overspending on winewould def go back

Real steak lovers will absolutely love this place. Service and atmosphere are excellent. But the real reason you want to eat here is the food. One of the best steaks I've ever had, and surprisingly affordable for this level of quality.
Busy place . Make sure to call ahead. Great steaks . Great plates . Great desserts . Great cream brule . No wifi . Bring you own wine . Very good service .
