We waited for a long time even though we were the only ones dining in at the time. The food was just okay, but the onion rings were the standout dish. Unfortunately, everything got cold quickly because it was cold inside the pub, which had a grubby and worn interior. The staff were friendly enough, but other patrons were using a lot of swear words, making the atmosphere unpleasant. Overall, we wouldn't go back mainly because of the atmosphere and how cold it was inside.
This charming pub is a great spot to host a function. The food was delicious and served in perfect portion sizes. It seemed like they may have been a bit overwhelmed by the large party sizes, as some dishes came out at different times. For example, while I was finishing my main course, someone else in my group was just being served. However, overall, the food was delicious and had that classic pub-cooked taste.
Waited nearly 45 mins even though the restaurant was empty. Pastry on steak pie tough and chewy, filling more gristle than meat. Green beans were not al dente they were raw. Mash potato was in a solid unappetising pile and gravy was very lumpy. Have had a good roast there in the past but shall not be returning. Very disappointing.

we had our wedding meal here on the 28th of july for 23 people and the food and the service were absolutely amazing! everyone commented on how nice the food was. We really couldn't have asked for it to be any better. all the staff were so lovely too. huge thank you to you all
Went here back in the day as the Albert we celebrated my partners son birthday, playing pool few drinks, very friendly, staff polite enjoyed evening
Standard pub. Only one ale, Doombar which was reasonable. Plenty of outside seating, although mostly close to a busy road.
Can't say much about this establishment as only went for a quick pint, no complaints about the pint though,excellent.

Popped in for an afternoon drink, service was great and enjoyed a nice quiet drink in the beer garden
