Because of reviews we decided to get take away from Raj Mahal. Food came very fast and hot. As per other reviews portions were very generous, enough pieces of fish and prawns. Enough condiments too with fresh salads and papadams. But unfortunately as Asians we didnt taste any flavour in fish or prawns or in gravy . Kebabs had little seasoning which comes in the seasoning. Korma colour never seen like that and it had sugar I think. Very disappointed of not meeting our expectations. But for ppl not used to authentic Indian food , this must be great. A reet treat! Tonight was our second “ delivered” take away treat and it didn’t disappoint. The quality of the food is excellent. We both like a little heat with our curries and the two chilli range of curries is excellent. Haddock pakoras to start, lovely pieces of fish wrapped in spicy four and fried. Onion Bharji ‘s crisp and spicy. Both served with salads, raita and onion raita salad mix. The curries tonight we had: chicken masala and lamb makhani. Portion size definitely large as with starters we easily make the meal last two days. Excellent service, friendly and efficient. Do recommend and will certainly return.
We looked at the reviews on trip advidor and decided to give this restaurant/take away a try. I can only say it must have been an 'off ' day. We have eaten thousands of indian take away 's over the years and this is the worst food we have ever been served. Late with our order, food in a cardboard box that leaked oil all over my husbands clothes, tasteless food, it was awful. The staff seemed overwhelmed with orders, perhaps they were missing staff? Whatever the reason we wasted £25.
Been doing reviews of the Raj Mahal since 2012 and had been going regularly before then. We eat here on average, probably over 40 times a year and we really missed it during the lockdowns. In a nutshell, between us we've had about a thousand dishes from the Raj Mahal. Every single one has been superb. Great family, food value. I'd go as far as to say it is a place that has made life happier than it is anyway.

Lock down has been a roller coaster for sure, Just had first Curry from Ral Mahal since March. The take away was what we expected, out of this world. No one does such fantastic food without cutting corners that I've ever known. If you ask for Fish, you get a fish, ask for prawns you get a net full. Alll cooked to perfection.
This is a firm favourite. We first tried it as takeout during lockdown #1 and have been regular customers since, including eating in once restrictions relaxed. My favourites are lamb and mushroom, lamb hyderabady and the mixed grill. Prices are good, as are portion sizes. Staff have always been good.
We ordered a takeaway for 18 people and we were not disappointed.The staff were very friendly and made the ordering easy.They delivered to our Holiday accommodation on time and again very helpful.The food was delicious. Definitely recommend and will be going again.
We ordered a takeout for mothers day, delivery was a little over the time given when ordered and was offered a discount. The wait was worth it and the food was absolutely delicious as always!!!

Great food, great service. They don’t sell alcohol but provide glasses for your own. We will go again because the food was really excellent.
On holiday in Haworth and we had a Sunday night takeaway. It was delicious and excellent value for money.
