We visited the restaurant at 6:50pm for a 7:00pm reservation on the 18th Sep. Our orders were taken, two of us had a starter and the third member of our group didn't. Our main courses arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes later. During that time we noted that three other tables were occupied by customers. All of those tables received their meals before we did. A table of three had even paid and left before our order arrived. When I complained I was told the kitchen was very busy. But that doesn't account for us being served out of turn and our food orders were basic, so in no way a cause for such a delay. We went to the restaurant this evening for a special occasion. We ordered our drinks and food, two main dishes, rice, bhajis and a chapati. Then the party of six arrived, one man appearing very drunk. From the start they were incredibly noisy and appeared oblivious to any other diners! Throughout our meal, which was pleasant, the loud noise and shouting continued. We were unable to have a quiet conversation and l felt very tense throughout the meal. We ate our food and drank our beer. The bill was £44. It was expensive for the amount we had, two beers being almost £10. It was a very poor experience. We won't be going again, nor recommending the restaurant to anyone.
Have used this restaurant in the past both eating in and take away and have always rated it, however they were certainly having a bad day on Saturday 24th July. Ordered via Uber Eats, the meal arrived but an item missing, I rang the restaurant and all they wanted to do was for me to leave a note on my next order (who says there will be another! the food was just about lukewarm and the Bhuna which should have had chunks of pepper, onion and tomato had 2 x pieces of tomato, no pepper no onion and the sauce was very thin and oily. The portion sizes especially the rice I think have been reduced. Very disappointed in the meal and hope this was a one off.
Booked this restaurant for a birthday meal for 4 people, which was highly recommended to us. Contemporary Indian restaurant very tastefully decorated. Very clean and covid compliant. Had variety of starters and all had 4 types of traditional curry meal. Plus side dishes and nan bread. The Peshawari nan best we ever had. Couldn’t fault a thing. Everything absolutely delicious. Great service from all the very smart, friendly staff. Very lucky to have this high quality restaurant so local to us.
Very hesitant Coeliac who hasn't risked a takeaway in 9 months since diagnosis. Rang for a chat before ordering.Meal delivered exactly on time. Well packed with no leaks and drips.Food was absolutely delicious! Meat was tender and the sauces were beautiful! Will definitely be ordering again.... Can't wait until we can go for a meal there!
Terrible!! Stay away. Over charged on last order, gave a second chance, £50 order, starter missing, when I called to complain they was not interested and said they was to busy to deal with my issue, this curry house is out for itself, absolutely scandalous and the food is ok at best, I will not be using this curry house again.
Visited for a family meal as a group of 4. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly. All of our meals were exceptionally good and very tasty. We’ve eaten before at the restaurant and had takeaways when visiting family in the area and are never disappointed, Well worth a visit
