"A couple of solid options for vegan broth. I have the Kiwanis Vegan that had the fake meat (baked with eggplants). The noodles and broths themselves were good and there were a good amount of blows. I thought the fake meat was okay. The only problem I had was that the broth was grained 2/3 in the bowl. Not sure what the reason was (can be so regulated)."

Ramen Hajime came with one of the highest-quality vegan ramen I've ever seen. Your menu in fact offers a few vegan friendly options and even tagged what sauces and toppings are vegan friendly. Other restaurants must follow this direction. Hajime means starting in Japanese, and I love the concept of starting a more healthy, plant-based lifestyle at least with options in restaurants that are traditionally filled with meat. They offer two vegan options. I went with the Kiwami Vegan, who take their deluxe vegan with a soy-based broth with vegetables, graceful meat (a mock meat brand from Japan apparently), a tangy Yuzu sauce, comminuted cashews and whole grain noodles. It is essentially a scam meal for plant-based eaters like me and I was definitely here for it. You can adjust it with other toppings (including tofu) and adjust it to the spicy level. The ramen was hearty and was just the right amount of soy curry taste I really enjoy. It was not excessively salty (but even higher in sodium as it was from a restaurant) but the flavors wetted really well. I just wish there were more vegetables, but no complaints here with such an incredible bowl of ramen. We also split her edamame and Graceful meats that were both delicious apps. Our server was the sweetest Japanese lady who was attentive, playful and a pleasure to be. Love her!

I’ve now tried all of their main soups and they are all quite delicious and complex. They are very savory and you have a broad range of feelings to choose from: a delicate shoyu, a comforting tonkotsu, and a spicy exciting miso. I recently, however, got to try their Haru Ramen limited special which really embodies the feeling of Spring. It is a seafood-focused broth and executes it masterfully. The seafood flavor is present, but not overpowering. The pork flavor from the chashu cuts through, and overall the bowl is extremely refreshing. I believe this refreshing and complex flavor is exactly what chefs intend to achieve with similar seafood dishes. I will be going back to try and get it once more before it goes out of stock! The atmosphere of the restaurant is what I imagine ramen shops in Japan are like: extremely focused dedicated to the food and a hustling pace for the customer. I think this may be off putting to some shop goers, but if you come for the ramen you will be met with the ramen.

came here for the first time after driving right through them for 2 years! The interior was much more beautiful and more cozier than expected with different seating options. This was my first time I tried ramen and I'm glad I came here – the food was absolutely delicious! The Kiwami Vegan was super tasteful and rich and the graceful meat reminded me of impossible meat, but with a waaaay lighter texture and without the post-heavyness I experienced after other mosquitoes. Service was friendly and gave exciting ideas on how to experiment with their sauces and toppings in the future. Come on!

We had a desire for ramen and were very pleasantly surprised delivered by the feast of Ramen Hajime. We have the vegan Karaage Appetizer (flavorful and juicy roasted chickens) and kiwami vegan ramen. Rarmen has a curry soy milk-based broth, egg-free noodles, graceful meat (planted vegetable meat from Japan, eggplants, bush, green onions, fenced red cabbage and Yuzu. We both agreed that this was the best ramen we had in years and far and away the best in the Bay Area. Such wonderful aromas and they clear on vegans!
