Ramen Izakaya Akira

I havent reviewed anything in a few years now, nothing has really warranted it. That being said, my pops was apparently watching YouTube and saw this place on there and wanted to go and I took them by. Food was fantastic; really memorable, beautiful plating. Service was also great, the host was personable and not in a pandering way. Wait was a tad long, but it's understandable with only the head chef and one assistant at busy lunch hour. What struck me the most, what made me write the review really, is that while waiting for a table, I was watching the chef prepare someone's carpaccio, looking longingly at fatty tuna he had yet to cut. Chef Akira is an artist when it comes to Japanese cuisine. Every dish is presented with meticulous artistry to entice your visual senses and then when you taste the beautifully presented entree, your palette explodes with delight like you have never experienced with any cuisine. Chef Akira is passionate about his restaurant and his menu is like a masterpiece. His signature entree Ramen noodle has the most amazing broth I have ever experienced. It’s pure perfection. I will be there to enjoy this outstanding restaurant often.

You guys this is the spot! If you're looking for amazing ramen I would recommend this place over and over again! I sat at the bar so I was able to watch the magic happen! The deep fried gyozas where extremely flavorful. I got the Spicy garlic pork shoyu and I fell in love with the first bite! Wasn't to spicy and I'm sure they would have made it even spicier of you asked. The chashu had a good fat portion. The broth was amazing best I've had in the states! The egg was cooked to perfection! I would give this place 10/10

We are from the Netherlands and saw this place online. White visiting our family in Fort Worth we gave it a try since we love ramen. My wife and I shared an appertiser called Bluefin and Avocado Carpaccio. It melts on your tonque, so delicious. We choosed one Spicy Garlic Pork Broth Ramen and one Pork Broth Ramen. Both broths were so delicious. The pork was soft and realy delicious. Deffinatly the best ramen we ever had so far.

Really glad to come across Chef Akira here in TX!! Its the only place ard here that i can find such delicious and authentic japanese food! His food is prepared so meticulosly and thoughtfully. My friends and i cant wait for his store opening rand will become a regular there!!
