I apologize for the lengthy review! It's been a while since my initial review, and I have some new thoughts to share. The staff at this restaurant are amazing, and I have become somewhat of a regular. They are always friendly and even give my dog extra chicken. The owner, who I believe is the owner, has also been kinder in my recent interactions with him. However, a friend mentioned feeling intimidated by the owner due to his aggressive behavior. Despite this, we mostly joke about it now. As for the food, it is decent, especially considering it's the only ramen place in the village. The ramen is average, but I particularly enjoy the popcorn chicken. The owner, who is usually at the cashier,...

Came in hungry for ramen in a cold day. I ordered ramen and wanted to sit on and enjoy my meal. There was no place to sit indoors and an area with 5 barstools ON A TABLE seemed unoccupied. I asked LUPE THE CASHIER if I can sit there and she said “no we are about to close” … The only place to sit was outside in the cold. I ordered my food … then I calmly told her Me: what time do you close? She: 8pm Me: it’s 7:20pm please let us sit on the barstools it’s freezing outside She: no Me: have some basic customer service. Theres no place to sit … we will finish by 8.. it’s 7:20 She : no Me: then would you prefer I cancel my order ? I’m not eating in the freezing cold Her: yes! Great! And proceeds t...
I find the food to be decent, especially considering it's the only ramen spot in the village. The ramen is acceptable—nothing exceptional, but certainly not bad. I actually enjoy the popcorn chicken. The owner, who I believe is usually at the cash register when I visit, has a somewhat unpleasant demeanor. As someone of East Asian descent, I genuinely want to support Asian-owned businesses, and despite my reservations about his attitude, I still choose to eat here. However, I feel he can be overly aggressive with customers. For instance, I've been told to leave because they were closing in 10 minutes, even while there were others behind me who he had assured were fine to stay. He didn't offer...

I am so disappointed in this place. I used to come here every week for their spam musubi. They had many different varieties and it was always prepared warm and fresh. Today was my first time back in a few months, and I was sad to discover that they now only sell one kind, and it's pre-packaged, and cold. While it still tasted fine, the ratios were off as well, and it was overpacked with rice. I hope they return to offering multiple flavors, otherwise I will not be returning. As for the rest of their food, it's just okay and not worth the USC Village prices.
The food here tastes great, especially the chicken and noodles. There aren't many menu options, so only come here if you're interested in ramen. The cashier was friendly and helped me choose a menu item. Since this restaurant is located in University village there is plenty of seating with beautiful views.
I ordered the Donburi with Chashu Pork and rice. It was delicious, although a bit on the salty side for my taste since I usually don’t add salt when I cook, so I noticed it more in my dish. Overall, the sauce was excellent, the portions were generous, the service was quick, and the staff were friendly.
I had the Donburi chicken ? . The rice is a perfect amount but the amount of chicken you get is a bit small. The cashier Samuel (according to my receipt) provided good ? customer service. I was there on June 10th, 2023 Saturday around 02:40pm. Réservez une table maintenant
The food quality was disappointing in both presentation and flavor, and it wasn't even inexpensive. Additionally, the cashier was very rude.
minus the mentally ill owner the food is quite good
