I visited Ramen Ya on a cold evening specifically for a bowl of ramen. The restaurant is located behind the Sunoco gas station, across from the Giant grocery store. The building used to be a Pizza Hut in the past. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly man who seated us at our table. We had a view of a young lady making fresh ramen noodles through an open glass window. It was fascinating to watch her feed the dry pasta into a machine, which produced a continuous sheet of noodle pasta. This restaurant is one of the best ramen spots in the DMV area that I have visited. I highly recommend it, although I will say the service can be a bit slow. When it's busy, you may only have your order taken, receive your drinks, food, and possibly your check. I usually end up going to the counter to pay myself. Despite the service, the food is exceptional. The tonkotsu and gyoza are highly recommended, with a 10/10 rating. They do not focus much on customer service, and the wait times can be long, but it is definitely worth it. For vegetarians, the veggie ramen is a great choice. The ramen at this restaurant is delicious, but unfortunately the service is terrible. I have been turned away several times because they close in about an hour (today it was only 50 minutes to closing time). This issue is partly due to their odd operating hours. I have also been rushed out on multiple occasions. The poor service outweighs the quality of the ramen, so I will not be coming back. Overall rating: Service - Dine in: 1, Food: 4
The food was delicious, the restaurant was very clean, and the service was the most attentive and friendly we have ever experienced! It could have been that we arrived at the perfect time, but our food was served just 10 minutes after we ordered. We absolutely loved it!

"So good! The food at RamenYa was amazing. I haven't been this satisfied after a meal in a long time. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cool. However, I recently noticed that the ramen bowl is much greasier than before, which is a negative change for me. I used to go there often, but now I don't go as much because of it. I miss the old ramen."
Every time I visit this place, it never disappoints. The food is incredibly delicious and it has become my go-to happy place. Whenever I'm feeling down, I come here to make myself feel better. The service is excellent and the food is even better. The curry ramen is absolutely amazing and a must-try.
The food is great. I love the noodle and the broth. The only issue is they do not have chicken broth options.most of the ramen is pork broth based and the only one other option they have is a vegetable broth. Even the miso ramen is pork based broth. I wish I wish they had a chicken option.
A really nice quaint place, the staff are super friendly, but most importantly, the food is delicious. I get the vegetable ramen every time and it's perfect, the tofu in it has a perfect texture.

I absolutely loved this restaurant! The ramen here is top-notch. I had dinner here and rated the food, service, and atmosphere all 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Spicy Tonkotsu ramen.
