we eat here on Saturday 26 September 2020. according to the new rules for going out, we have booked a table and worn our masks until we sit. I noticed that everyone entered the restaurant with masks and followed the correct procedure. booked a table for 9 adult 1 junior for a special birthday meal of a family member who recovers from a brain tumor. we were informed by Irish coffee desserts because they had no time because they were busy needed. we were not told that we were assigned a limited time to the table when booking for this celebration. the service was absolutely atrocious I will never return to this restaurant for either a table or a takeaway. they tried to catch us with a cheap bottle prosecco, which cost £5 at aldi, which they sold for £24.95 a saucer with a few chocolates on a watered down torn basil dishes. disgusting! Dont leave reviews often actually left an excellelent review at another place (casa nostra) so i didnt only write bad reviews (balance an all that). We tried to order, waiter says drinks first. So I ordered drinks, wine was okay, lager was flat and warm....So i said i think the beer is flat? The waiter then comes over and taps every beer on the table for it to fizz and over flow. We didnt order and went to a diffrent indian over the road. I would of left a terrible review but we didnt even get to the food... As i said i dont write reviews but this annoyed me so much that left this and another good review elsewhere to balance it out.
in this restaurant tonight, service was a bit hit and miss, appetizer ok but a bit cold, main course balti exotic was just a bowl of undercooked salty pataks paste absolutely terrible. the use of this is Indian for curry houses,... lazy “kitchen”. They can deny that they use this product, but trust me themselves the basic palette that had real Indian food, can spot pataks stick a mile away, in this case it was extremely used and not properly cooked, pataks is ok I can guess for the chef it is not Réservez une table maintenant
I would have to say this place certainly does provide fine dining. Even single thing we tried was beyond our expectations in appearance and taste. Deffo order a silsilar and their signature beef biryani and their sweet chilli fish (cant remmeber name of the fish...dish). Chilli chicken was also great although a bit sweet for my liking but ir was still finished by all. Will deffo intend on going back!
Reserved a table for tea here with my family. Drinks came flat and warm(the 2l bottles they where poured from weren’t even kept in a fridge) Ordered a lemonade small coke and small blackcurrant Cordial with tap water- This was £8.50 Just for those drinks...might I add!!!!! Wasn’t a long wait for food from ordering but food portions were very small! Chicken tikka masala was very watery!
