Here is an honest review from sat night. 8 of us plus one child. Lovely venue with attentive service. Very noisy to be expected on sat with loads of children. Pollo and fish dishes very nice but accompanying broccoli raw and uncooked. Couldn't get a fork into it. Lasagne and pasta was so salty it was inedible. Puds v good. On checking the bill carefully which is not always a pleasant thing to do, we had been charged for an extra bottle of wine, extra pint of beer, lemonade and 4 cokes we didn't have. The child's meal supposedly inclusive of pud and drink morphed into the price of adult meal pud and drink. Bill was corrected and came down to £211 from £270. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BILL as this happ...
We have been visiting Rapallo, in its various iterations, for many years. In the last few years the restaurant has gone from good to great. Last night my wife and I enjoyed a Sunday afternoon dinner here. There was a buzz to the place that was exciting whilst not being too intrusive to our meal. The food was fabulous and the service from Elizabeth and her team was excellent. A new look interior added to a great ambience. It's so easy for a restaurant to become complacent, when it's doing well. That can't be said of Rapallo, which continues to impress. And I should mention the good value in the early bird menu, which is great. Well done Rapallo.
We called to reserve, and they accommodated us on the day for that evening. Although we did wait a while to order drinks, service was then with good time. Nothing too much trouble, lots of attentive staff. Food excellent. Piping hot, wonderfully presented, and tasty. We had starters, mains, and one dessert as we were so full. We all had different too, and we all passed comment on how good the food was. Looking forward to returning. Lastly the parking is a little tricky.
This is the third visit when up to see family. The service and food choice is superb. We this time, had the starter and main for £11.50. Terrific value. The portions are full size so plenty to eat. I had the risotto with Parma ham and chargrilled chicken, it was delicious. Thoroughly recommended the restaurant, it’s better than some of the Manchester Italians for quality and service. Had a wonderful family evening at Rapallo. . We had Garlic bread tomato , garlic mushrooms and pate to start followed by fillet steak , risotto and a couple of pasta dishes all cooked to perfection. Could not fault it. Followed with Tiramsu , coffee and a cocktail or 2 The staff were attentive , friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We will defiantely come back x
absolutely wonderful AGAIN! beautiful food, steaks cooked to perfection, one was a bit under for our liking, but returned and sorted straight away, and apologies, could not have been dealt with better. staff so professional, and attentive. brilliant for any event!! we will be back soon. This is a lovely place to enjoy a family meal. There were 3 generations of us ranging from 7 to 70+ ncluding a pescatarian and a vegetarian . Everyone found 3 course meals they enjoyed. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was great. There is a good wine list. Certainly a place for a return visit.
