I've written about Rasa Enak's Fish Head Noodles more than a year ago. I was impressed then and even more so now that the size of their fish head portions has increased. It's been a while since I've been there and was very pleasantly surprised. Their previously smaller portions was the only negative I had to say about it at the time of my last review. In the last couple of weeks, I've tried the Fish Head Noodles at both Bateman and Kardinya (these being the two popular places for this dish SOR) and have to say that Rasa Enak's version is the best based on both the fish head wings and the broth. A party of 7 celebrated a birthday here. It had been suggested and recommended by a member of the party, and it lived up to their reputation. Great food, good size dishes and great value. We started with spring rolls and salted chilli squid, very nice. We also shared a dish that is not on the menu; very, very nice.We then shared 7 dishes and rice and had a feast, with some leftovers for the next day.The Crispy Pork Belly and the Butter chicken were sensational. The chicken was a dried dish, most unusual, but it worked. This is a local gem , visited by many local residents in this small little shopping centre on Coolibah Drive.Arrived early for dinner with 1 other table occupied , the restaurant was full when we left at 8pm though.Rasa Enak is very relaxed , only seats about 40 but very proud of what they do. Predominately Malaysian food , this is alot different to your usual Chinese offering.We had spring rolls for entree and chose the pork belly , black pepper sizzling beef with pineapple fried rice to accompany it all.Our choices were delicious, the black pepper beef was a highlight , not too spicy but very tasty .Our bill came to just over $50 , we took a bottle of wine as well.Rasa Enak is a local deli...
Situated in the northern suburb of Greenwood just off Mitchell Freeway turnoff is a hidden gem in the local shopping area. It's been here for several years, and run by Malaysian family. If you are looking for Malaysian, it provides a limited selection of hawker style food such as Penang Hokkien Char, Sambal Belacan Fried Rice or set menu at lunch time with a bigger selection for dinner. Close on Tuesday and lunch time Monday. Last order for dinner is 8.30 pm. My favourite is Assam Curry Fish with rice for dinner. Réservez une table maintenant
This restaurant came recommended by a friend who is a regular there. We tried it and returned the next week for more! Authentic Malaysian cuisine, even the kids loved it. We had curry laksa, nasi lemak, Penang fried kway teow and their special fish noodle soup. Price is reasonable and so is the quantity served. Will definitely be going back for more...
I have eaten at this little restaurant many times but most recently last night enjoying their Chinese New Year Special Menu. It was a well constucted menu with duck, chicken, fish, prawns , pork etc etc. Wsy too much food & all of the highest quality for a very reasonable price. Do yourself a favour.
