I went there to try the real German food (I was told that). I have tried a lot of german restaurant in the last period so I would say that that this one was nothing special. It was good but I don't know if I...will come back again, maybe yes to try some differnt dishes. Kasespatzle were good but too overcooked and sticky, and onions on top weren't crunchy as they should be. Pretzel was cold and it seemed the one you buy from supermarket. They also served the Senf sauce for the weisswurst inside a bag put on the plate; I didn't like that service. By the way it's quite cheap and maybe next time I will try the pork, which seemed very nice.
I’ve stopped here several times during my travels to Darmstadt, including twice for dinner my last visit late May. I love the setting, both the outdoor communal seating outside on the marketplace or the indoor seating within the historic old building. The food, while fairly...basic, is really good in my opinion. And I love the beers. The service is always amazing efficient. If I lived close to this place I would be in real trouble. But I would like to live closer...and be able to stop by more often.
A very interesting picturesque place that for years accumulated some traditions, continuous noise and the energy of beer. Not bad snacks and traditional meals offered, a good but a German-style service equipped with good beer. A little bit impaired impressions from guests with...dogs since they cannot understand the reasonable quantity of those to take with for visiting public space... Overall, try it it's a good experience to get acknowledged with Darmstadt and its history
As a regular visitor to Darmstadt, I always visit the Ratskeller for food and drinks-all the beer is brewed in house and is of fantastic quality, as is the food with an excellent selection of regional and German dishes-the staff are highly attentive and the...customer service is excellent-the magical surroundings and history of the building are something to behold-highly recommenced.

Great local bar with their own beer. Delicious. I highly recommend the wheat beer from the tap with a fresh pretzel with butter! The dinner food was also really nice. My whole group enjoyed our night out together. And the weather was perfect for sitting...outside. Highly recommended for a drink.
The Ratskeller offers a good choice of lunch and dinner items. My favorite is the roasted ham shank which comes with a choice of several sides including coleslaw, potato salad, and is accompanied by dark pumpernickel bread and butter to die for. They offer a...nice variety of food.
Restaurant in a very nice building, typical German food. We just wanted a quick drink so ordered local beers and sausages with Sauerkraut and potatoes. It was good. Not the best. But good for a quick taste. Our server was very nice.
As always the ambiente and the food was excellent. The beer is a must! Weißwurst and Bratwurst are very good! At Easter The Frankfurter Gruene Sausse is a must

Nice place, good to spend time. Great location. Prices were ok. Waiter spoke english. Credit cards were accepted, didnt have to send a fax or smth.
