This restaurant is located directly on the marketplace and has character when you look at the building. The ambience also shows what gives the cosiness a certain flair. There is also a terrace in the courtyard where you can sit outside in beautiful weather. We were kindly greeted by the staff and as we were a funny team of several people, our joyfulness jumped to the service. The menu offers typical regional dishes. Everything was beautifully dressed on the plates and tastefully also very good. We felt very well and come when we make a visit to Saalfeld on the next occasion.

Came here for dinner, Very nice atmosphere staff was efficient and friendly. We had mains and desserts. The mains were really good the desserts (Kaiserschmarrn) was burnt.To get two courses took three hours !!!! (We arrived at 7:15pm and left at 10:15pm) But if you are not in a hurry I would recommend to give it a try.
New restaurant having been only open some weeks under the new chef. This restaurant was highly recommended by some friends who had eaten here recently and I was not disappointed the food was very well cooked. There was no rush at all by the staff. Definitely will return on my next visit
Pleasant atmosphere, delicious regional, traditional cuisine. A recommendation. PS: My daughter (3 years) played her toy horse. At the order she ordered grass-foot horse. After a few minutes the waitress comes and brings a small plate with a mint branch! Wow, well done!
Three of us went for a meal here last night. We hadn’t booked but the were very welcoming and sorted out a table for us very quickly. The waiter was lovely and helpful. The food was good and the house red very pleasant. A good place to eat.

I've eaten there twice with my wife, and I was thrilled every time. The food was very good. Especially the big beer selection with not everyday beers I found great. I also recommend the in-house Saalfelder Bier. We like to come back!
