We visited this restaurant through recommendation of a friend who lives nearby. As a visitor to the town we probably would not have visited this restaurant due to us Brits liking to feel comfortable in knowing where and what we are eating but we are so glad that we visited here. When we arrived to the restaurant we were greeted by a waitress in traditional German dress who spoke very little English but was extremely helpful in helping us to translate the menu. She brought over a special 'hello from the kitchen ' which was an appetiser of German sausage and salad, very nice indeed. When our food came we were very impressed with the high quality beef dish we received including potato dumplings...

We visited this restaurant a few minutes ago, and experienced possibly the worst customer service I 've ever had in a restaurant anywhere in the world. It reminds me of when I lived in East Berlin right after the Wall came down. We ordered our food, I ordered a buttermilk pancake, but mine tasted of meat (I 'm a vegetarian), so I asked to exchange the dish for a salad. The owner, who was serving us refused, saying if I wanted to send it back to the kitchen I would pay for it and then whatever else I ordered. I can 't remember the last time I sent something back (many years ago), but on the rare occasions it does happen, I 've always been offered something as a substitute without extra charge...

Went there shortly after Christmas, and a traditional regional Christmas food was on the menu (hardly anything else, though : a centerpiece of meat (goose, duck, or pork also a vegetarian version which was probably not traditional surrounded by 8 different small dishes, all with a meaning attached to them (e.g.: lentils for small change, dumplings for big money etc. . Surprisingly tasty and we were lucky that we had an early dinner, because it's very filling. Nice service, central location.

A warm and cosy restaurant to sample local traditional Christmas food. As we were on a tour we ordered the Neinerlaa to share with the rabbit and chicken as the centre piece of the dish. It was lovely to sample a local dish to warm us up on a snowy day. The waitress even tried to explain in English what each small portion of food represented, and google gave us the rest.
