Ravine Vineyard Winery Restaurant

Hadn't really been part of my plan, but ended up partaking of the wine tasting. A fun and fruitful experience, even for one who doesn't usually "drink"! Felt ever so sophisticated. Had stopped by just for lunch, but opted to go "next door" for the tasting while we waited for a table. The tasting really was an exceptionally pleasant way to pass the time, I must say. Our out of town guest was sufficiently impressed with the specialty wines that he purchased a bottle to take home to Britain (strangely, via B.C.). It was an enRoute travel mag article that alerted him to the existence of Ontario wineries. We were very happy to accommodate his wish to see one firsthand on our way to Niagara Falls....

Ravine is well known by people who travel to Niagara on the Lake and is probably one of the best restaurants in the area. We were lucky enough to reserve 6 seats for Saturday July 29th for the 150th Anniversary Celebration Dinner for Canada and the Lowry Family Farm where the restaurant is located. The chef created 7 courses from PEI to Ontario to celebrate the anniversary. The lucky 60 people ate in the garden while the crew prepared each course with care: oysters, lobster and cod chowder, duck salad, potato raclette, pickerel, lamb and peach cobbler. Nous avons apprécié notre souper. La nourriture et le vin étaient parfaits. Le porc était très tendre et la purée d'aubergine délicieuse. Les accords mets-vins proposés étaient adéquats. Le service était ok, je me serais attendu à ce que l'on mette davantage l'emphase sur les vins. Le prix des vins était gonflé par rapport à la boutique.

We had the most amazing dinner at the Ravine Vineyard Estate, from the bread, soup , drinks to main course it was a 100% . The service is outstanding and the young man/boy that helps out with busing/set up is Amazing. We can not recommend this restaurant enough and we travel all of the world and are foodies. The restaurant at the Ravine winery is somewhat rustic but quite comfortable. The menu is small but covers meat and fish as well as vegetarian. The service was excellent. Besides wine they also have liquor if one is interested in a cocktail. The food was good and made the trip worthwhile.

Excellent pizza on their nice patio. Smelled firewood pizza. We shared a pizza (21$) with wine and it was enough for us for lunch. Pizza was excellent and obviously contained quality ingredients.

Very expensive, local wait staff, Food was ok but not worth the cost. Lovely view however were seated in the hallway where wait staff buzzed around, bathroom access. Terrible table.

Our daughter let us out for a treat, and took us to Ravine, food very good and lots of it, hubby had the hamburger so large he could not finish it. The service was very good. Réservez une table maintenant

Meta friend for a business lunch. The service was excellent and the food was superb. I will definitely be going back.

This venue is one to experience. It is very well organized and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.
