Finally visited the famous Rawleys. Having grown up near a locally favorite fried dog place out of state, I was excited to try here. Tiny ordering counter and a few tables off to the side. Friendly man at the counter who verified everyone's order (phoneand walk in) before turning it over to the cook. I was happy to see they offer both brown and yellow mustard. Yes, it matters. The sharp vinegar in yellow mustard cuts the fatty spiciness of a hot dog. Try it if you've only used brown. The dog had a nicesnap but was very mild in flavor-reminded me of the supermarket dogs my mom used to feed us. This is the reason I took a staraway. There are better dogs along the shoreline of CT. But, you can't beat the nostalgia of the building, inside and out, andthat does make a difference. This is a place your grandparents probably went to for a date. Old but not run down.
