The food was excellent, and the service was equally impressive. However, the biggest and most disappointing aspect of my experience was that, while we briefly stopped for lunch before heading to the airport, someone stole my friend’s two pieces of luggage from the car, which was just out of sight. We thought it was relatively safe since the area was somewhat busy and located next to a gas station. Unfortunately, we were completely mistaken. I felt awful for my friend; it's been a long time since I've felt this way for someone. I understand this issue isn’t the restaurant's fault, but I wanted to share this experience nonetheless.
Happy to have a clean, upscale, cheerful, well executed establishment right in the middle of an area the city neglects. I grew up around the corner from Ray's and patrons in this area deserve this type of quality. The staff was amazing, but somehow the food was even more amazing. Nothing over done or smothered in gravy just fresh, homemade tasting food. The fish... can't be outdone it's amazing. God bless!
The BEST BBQ place I have eaten at in Houston. The pork sausage snapped and had great flavor, the macaroni had some delicious cheese, and the macaroni salad was refreshingly good. The family loved the brisket. The brisket potato was fully covered in brisket, the nachos had soany good flavors going on. The kids meals had more food than they could eat. 10/10 will go back!
If you're looking for delicious flavors and great tastes, Rays BBQ is the place to go! The three-meat plate is an amazing portion and reasonably priced. I also tried the fish plate, and it was fantastic—Bon Appétit! The customer service is top-notch, both front and back of house. It's truly the BEST BBQ in Houston!

I just visited this restaurant for the first time and was genuinely impressed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. While the customer service could use some improvement, it wasn’t terrible. I'm not sure if it's the kind of place you'd go for the ambiance, but the food is definitely worth it!

This is some of the BEST BBQ in the city, hands down. Tender, flavorful and delicious. The sides are also seasoned perfectly and very tasty. I can’t wait to return!
Good food nice alternative to the barbecue chains like Pappas. Nice big beef rib. You get your two sides and cheaper than Pappas as well.Food: 4/5
