We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from Warrington and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. We were drawn in by the sight of a great butchery with a variety of meats, and the cafe inside did not disappoint. The staff, particularly the friendly scouse girl, made us feel welcome. We enjoyed our seats by a cozy fire while sipping on delicious coffee. We shared a delicious Welsh rarebit that was generously sized and came with a side of salad and crisps at a very reasonable price. We also took home a piece of key lime pie, which did not disappoint. Everything served at the restaurant comes from the farm itself. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I had heard about the place but never been so decided to take my toddler to have a look. He was delighted with the lovely pumpkins on display outside when we arrived. The farm shop/butchers looked well stocked and everything looked great, we had a cup of tea and a babyccino with a tractor shaped ginger biscuit in the cafe. Before we left we went to say hello to the cows on site, which my little boy loved! Really cute little place and I’ll definitely be back on my own to have a proper browse without a demanding 3 year old telling me off!
Lovely little place I visited the butchers and got 2 packs of chicken, meatballs, burgers, chilli stuffed peppers and salt and pepper cobs for £25. The scouse lady behind the counter was very friendly and very helpful. All lovely meats and can tell the difference from supermarket meat. My only criticism is that there are no Use By dates and no cooking instructions so I was unsure how long everything needed a cooking novice like me needs that! I definitely think this would help people in the future.
I visited with my daughter today. Looked a nice place till we got out of the car. There was a strong 'farm smell ' very unpleasant also smelt of butchery and raw meat. It made me feel sick. The food was not good, particularly the cream of mushroom soup my daughter had. I over heard some of the staff speaking disparingly about vegetarians. I found this offensive. Also noticed on leaving cafe right next door they are actively butchering animals. Horrific. One to avoid. Réservez une table maintenant
The fresh meat here is really good quality, it still beat expectations, the selection is good and they do some different flavoured sausages burgers too. The cafe looks nice but I didn’t stay for a drink I did however treat myself to a lemon muffin on the way out which was also good. Fresh food and homebaked goods from here are much better than any super market could offer. Highly recommended!
This farm shop offers a good selection of products for locals, and has a pleasant atmosphere. However, I was disappointed by the food. The hog roast baguette was dry, lacked crackling, and didn't have much flavor. At £7.99, it wasn't worth it. The coffee ended up being more like a latte than a flat white. Despite the friendly staff, I would return for the farm shop but not for lunch.
Was staying in the area for a family event and decided to have Sunday breakfast here instead of the hotel buffet option. Definitely a much better choice! It was very busy even though we got there 15 minutes after opening, but we managed to get a table. The staff were friendly, the food was served quickly and it was excellent. We'll be back next time we're in the area.
Delicious food and good selection on the menu, friendly staff and,the butchers looked to have a good selection of meat-worth stocking up if you are self catering.Previous reviews have commented on the smell -the clue is in the title it's a farm! We will stop of again on our way north. Réservez une table maintenant
Always tasty food, great quality and a nice place. Just wish it didn't sound like a warzone behind the kitchen counter with the staff smashing cupboards, plates, cutlery and coffee scoops about all the time
