Red Barn Restaurant

This is not just a gift shop, or restaurant, it is an icon. It is a big red sign that says you 're home . I look forward to seeing this every time I journey back to Cape Breton. I grew up playing mini golf here, grabbing local items for my mom for Christmas, it is memories of we are almost home when coming from away. And when I was traveling, it was the sign that my adventure is beginning. I know that I 'm not the only one that feels this way about this place. The Red Barn is a symbol of joy during any car ride on Cape Breton. The gift shop is full of beautiful, locally relevant souvenirs. The restaurant is wonderful, and the service and atmosphere around the whole establishment is stellar the cherry on top? It has mini-golf! (Who doesn't love mini-golf? All in all, the Red Barn is in a class of its own, and makes for a wonderful place to stop while on the road, even if it's just to stretch your legs during a long drive.

The food was good mussels were good the burger was delicious ? fries were cooked well. Good portion for mussels. And not to bad for burger platter. Kids meals were pricey. Gift shop that has everything is a bonus.

Staff was friendly and service was quick and attentive. I just had chicken fingers, they were good but not special. Fries were boring but crispy and light so I didn't mind. Réservez une table maintenant

Lobster roll and poutine : the lobster roll was not really generous with too much sauce. The fries and the sauce was not good at all. Very expensive for the quality.

This place is adorable. You're able to get gifts for loved ones and the Christmas section is perfect for those little gifts for Christmas time.

Love the gift shops and the staff were amazing!!! We didn't get food...only visited the gift shops.
