We had to wait at least 10-15 minutes before a waitress acknowledged us, and the delay in receiving our food was shocking. When it finally arrived, my fries were cold. I let the waitress know, and while she took them back, it took another 10 minutes to bring me a fresh batch that was overcooked and inedible. Unfortunately, she never returned to check on us, and we ended up having to ask a janitor for our bill. My husband ordered chicken strips, which he also found to be quite disappointing. The only downside was that the meal only came with one hush puppy when we think it should have included two. However, that minor detail didn't detract from the overall fantastic meal and excellent service. The manager stopped by to check on us after our meal, and I regret that I can't remember his name. He was a pleasant young man with a clear sense of priorities. We both highly recommend this place if you're looking for great seafood, and we will definitely be returning!
As for wheelchair accessibility, there's a concrete ramp at the entrance wide enough for a wheelchair and even enough space for two people to walk side by side.
This is the only authentic seafood restaurant in town. The owner is fair and exceptionally kind, especially in difficult situations. The food is more than satisfactory, with generously sized shrimp and crab legs. The service is quite good as well. You can enjoy music while dining, and the atmosphere evokes a pirate ship theme, featuring a wooden decor and a central bar. It's a fantastic spot to dine out with family, thanks to a reasonably priced kids' menu. It's also a great choice for a date or a casual meet-up with friends to enjoy music and drinks. Overall, it's a laid-back place that delivers a pleasant experience.
We had a fantastic and adventurous evening at Red Hook on Saturday night. The experience was delightful, and the bibs, gloves, and brown paper on the table helped us avoid a big mess! The food was cooked to perfection, and the atmosphere was exceptional. The chefs did a remarkable job with the fried calamari and fried alligator tail. Portion sizes were just right, leaving us with enough room for dessert. However, the dessert selection could use some improvement, perhaps by offering some homemade options.

The service and staff are consistently warm and friendly! Although I’m not a seafood lover, my boyfriend gave it a perfect 10/10 for flavor and raved about the fantastic crab legs! Our server, Doe Jane, was attentive and prompt, ensuring all our needs were met. She was truly exceptional!
We went during the week at lunch time. Great atmosphere, very friendly service. We had the sampler, boudin balls and steamed shrimp. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The catfish was flaky and seasoned correctly. The steamed shrimp delicious! We will definitely be back!
Omg this place is amazing. Coming from Iowa and don?t have no good seafood restaurants that can even compare. I will give this place a 5 star review- the red hook spice perfection. Yes I will be back before we leave.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was very friendly. Be sure to ask for Ashley; she was fantastic and great with large groups. I will definitely be coming back!
