Additionally, the staff took away the drink menu before we had a chance to order, and they didn't check to see if we wanted any beverages. When one of us did order a Pink Lady cocktail, it ended up being overly sweet, and the ingredients quickly separated, leaving an unappetizing foamy residue.
We also faced an issue where one of our appetizers was completely forgotten. Fortunately, we weren't charged for it, and honestly, we didn't miss it because the other appetizers were decent. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:15 PM and was promptly seated. The food is truly authentic Chinese cuisine, reasonably priced with hearty servings. I especially enjoyed the coconut chicken, which boasts a distinct and delicious flavor. The stir-fried rice noodles were flavorful and something I would definitely order again. The short ribs offered a perfect sweet and sour balance that was very satisfying. The service exceeded my expectations. The only downside was that our table was a bit small for all the dishes we ordered, which made things slightly inconvenient.
The dumplings at Red Peony are delicious. The vegetarian sampler platter features the same filling throughout, but every bite is tasty. We also tried the regular dumpling sampler, and it was absolutely mouthwatering. The soup was equally flavorful. Highly recommended!
I tried the double-cooked pork belly, and the quality of the main dish was excellent! However, the meat in the wonton soup tasted off, almost like plastic or spoiled. Aside from that, I would recommend that the restaurant consider adding an egg drop soup option.

The rice was cold. The crispy duck was dry with NO SAUCE OR VEGETABLES. The shrimp dish was ok. Overall, I wouldn’t return which is disappointing since it’s nearby.
The service was outstanding, and the food was exquisite. We had a wonderful dim sum dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed.
