It's uncommon to find such consistency in quality at Board Food. The brisket was tender, had a great smoke ring, and was cooked to perfection. While the ribs were slightly overcooked, they were still packed with flavor. The side dishes were outstanding—often a weak point for many restaurants. The potato salad was fantastic, and the beans, which I later discovered were vegetarian, had a wonderful taste and a delightful, classic texture. The coleslaw was very good, and the fried pickles were amazing; I suspect they're making their own pickles in-house. A brilliant idea was to use the spicy ranch sauce from the pickles as an accompaniment for the brisket. I can't wait to return and try the chic...
