We've not been to the Redbeck for ages, decided to great the family for breakfast last Wednesday. Adults had breakfasts the kids had nuggets. In the past the food has been good. This time it was TRULY dreadful. The bacon was dry and hard, almost burnt. Looked like it had been pre-cooked then reheated. The sausage was dire, bland and tasteless. The chips had obviously been pre-cooked and re-fried, they were as hard as nails. The bread and butter was already done and was taken from a pile under the counter. Being piled up caused the butter to stick to the back of the slice above it. Meh. It is obvious that they have started using inferior quality products and are cutting corners I the wayvthey...
Absolute shambles, if you enjoy people shouting BREAKFAST every 2 mins then you'll love this place. Recently went there after doing the Rat run. To be spoken to rudely, told I had to pay extra to not have a sausage and have spam instead. Food was shocking. My 8 year old would do better. My order was given to someone else then when questioned about it the lady with all the tattoos slagged me off to staff members. Then to top it off she came out to us all and said don't come again, we wasn't prepared for yous and didn't have the staff and rushed us off our feet. I didn't realise you had to prebook cafes. Overpriced for a plate undercooked garbage.
My wife and I were passing and had said many times that we must call in sometime (last visit for either of us was donkey's years ago) to see if they still did the Breakfast Special, which they did! All the food was hot and tasty and the chips were great. I pigged out with bread and butter and was stuffed when I finished. It's cheap and cheerful in a typical roadside cafe motel setting, which is the attraction. Give it a go.
Came here recently as a family of 5 as haven’t been since I was a child so thought we would try it out. Came to about £50 for 5 meals and a drink each which I thought was really reasonable. Food was lovely and a great portion for the price, really fast and efficient service. Would probably avoid going between 12-1 in the future though as it was a bit like a cattle market it was so busy. Would come again, no complains!

I don't usually have an issue but my god today was horrendous. The lady that served me and my friend was rude as hell. She has short blondish hair with glasses on. Whenever we asked her questions etc all she did was roll her eyes and what not. I'm sorry but that's not how you treat your customers.
Absolutely disgusting place to eat had to kill bacon myself as it came with legs it was that uncooked, after I asked for it really well done . The lass behind counter always gets our orders wrong and her English is terrible, avoid this place like the plague I have the photos too it’s horrendous
Use this cafe fairly regularly food is ok if you don’t want to cook. It’s let down by a rude and abrupt woman blonde hair glasses usually worn on top of her head she really needs to attend a customer care course. A civil word to all customers goes a long way.
Just passing called in redbeck had a breakfast special it was nice hot cooked lovely and filling well done to trisha and all staff thank you 10 out of 10

Very busy but well organised. Food served promptly and good quality and value . Cleanliness of toilets acceptable, considering how busy the place was
One word….. VILE!!!! Dont waste your money dirty place, staff screaming at each other and the food is diabolical
