I found this little gem of a place completely by accident on a warm sunny afternoon. I took a brief look at the menu and was totally bought by the stunning surroundings. Unfortunately I speak very little French but the staff were wonderful and also managed to speak enough English to help me out.I took my seat at an outside table with a lovely canopy and a view of the mountains and waterfall - absolutely perfect. I could hear the Alpine Marmots in the distance chattering away on the mountainside. I could not ask for a more perfect setting. I ordered a local beer to drink whilst I viewed the menu. Nous fréquentons ce refuge depuis plusieurs années maintenant. Nous l'avons découvert par hasard un jour d'été il y a quelques années lorsque le temps a brusquement changé. Après avoir été assis dehors sous des parasols, nous nous sommes précipités à l'intérieur et y sommes restés presque tout l'après-midi pour déjeuner... et boire plusieurs bouteilles de vin rouge. Il est tout aussi agréable de manger à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Beaucoup d'ambiance. La nourriture est excellente. Le choix est tellement incroyable. La famille qui le possède et le gère est extrêmement accueillante. Rien n'est jamais un problème. Ils sont ouverts de mi-juin à mi-septembre. C'est un incontournable pour nous...
Nous sommes restés quelques jours au refuge et avons fait de là de belles randonnées dans le Parc National de la Vanoise. Cyril et sa mère Françoise nous ont très bien accueillis. Ils nous ont été d'une grande aide en matière d'informations et de conseils grâce à Cyril nous avons grimpé... dans le sens antihoraire au lieu de l'inverse pour nous éviter une descente inquiétante). Le réfugié lui-même est tiré d'un livre d'images, beau et plein d'atmosphère et se trouve directement sous la grande cascade, de sorte que la vue est incroyable. Les commodités (douches et toilettes) sont neuves et très propres. De plus, Cyril sert de délicieux déjeuners et dîners avec de nombreux légumes frais et ing...
We have been going to this refuge for a number of years now. Found it quite by chance one summer day some years ago when the weather turned suddenly. Having sat outside under parasols, we rushed in and stayed most of the afternoon having lunch and several bottles of red wine. It is just as nice eating inside as out. Much ambiance. The food is great. So much choice it is amazing. The family who own and run it are extremely hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble. They are open from mid June to mid September. It is a must for us whenever we are in Méribel. The reward at the end is well worth the drive. Réservez une table maintenant
Un excellent refuge au bout de la route à Champagny Le Haut. Une atmosphère authentique et charmante pour les Alpes françaises. Francoise, l'une des propriétaires, s'est réellement préoccupée de notre satisfaction. En résumé, nous avons passé un très bon moment et les repas et boissons étaient à des prix raisonnables. Nous deviendrons des habitués dès que possible !
A great refuge at the end of the road in Champagny Le Haut.Lovely authentic atmosphere for the French Alpes.Francoise one of the owners was honestly concerned for our satisfaction .In summary, we had a very nice time and the meals and drinks were reasonably priced.We will become regulars time permitting!
A wonderful place to stay in a great location. Friendly staff made the stay a pleasure. The restaurant is good and the set meal for those in the refuge accommodation is great value. We enjoyed Refuge de Laisonnay a lot and recommend it warmly. Réservez une table maintenant
