Reid's Dairy is a cool place to go for a delicious treat at a very reasonable/cheap price. Milkshakes are $1.00 and ice cream soft or hard is easy on the wallet so you can treat family or friends and leave satisfied. The children love to push the button to make the cow on the wall "moo". The staff work hard and are constantly on the move because it is so busy even on cloudy days. they also sell milk, butter, cakes, some frozen dinner entrees, etc. there is a place to hold birthday parties and you can watch the milk bags come off the line into a crate, stack-up and move down the line as well.
Stopped here on on the way to Ottawa from Toronto, and this really hit the spot on a hot day, being only a minute or two off the 401. I grabbed a waffle cone while my wife got a skor Tornado. Their tornados are amazing (think DQ blizzards but creamier and cheaper). The Tornado was mixed more thoroughly and there were more skor bits. I also enjoyed looking at the dairy production line where they produced milk and frozen yogurt base. Staff was really nice.
The kids love the loonie shakes, hard ice cream, ice cream sundaes and soft serve cone. It's consistent and very reasonable in price. They also have a store where you can purchase milk etc... there is a window where when they are in production mode the kids can watch them. The kids love the little train that is suspended on a track from the ceiling that they can push a button and make it go around.
Delicious ice cream. It is really cheap and the scoops are huge. I ordered 2 and it looked.more like 4!! The line after we got our order was really long. The place got busy in a minute but it seemed to be pretty fast. Neat how you can look at the people working inside the factory.
