This hotel restaurant is open to non residents. It is open on a Monday evening when many restaurants are shut. The staff are welcoming, the decor pleasant and service is efficient.There is a varied menu with specials and a simple kids menu. The food is good value for the money and fresh. The children eat all of their nuggets which were Tasty and fresh. The duck was tender. The wine recommended by the patron was one of the least expensive on the list and very nice. The hotel restaurant is on the main road with plenty of parking opposite in the non paying public car park.
We had gathered at Relais De L'Estuaire to prepare for 5 days of cycling in over 40 degrees, and over a mountain, to commemorate the heroic actions a small group of UK Royal Marines did to threaten the Axis forces supply lines - and with the added benefit of diverting many German troops away from northern France, In 1942. The calm, tranquil setting of the hotel and the cold buffet dinner were simply exquisite. I have no idea why my TA app wot let me select the pictures of the dinner! Stopped by this place as there was little choice in the area, and was pleasantly surprised. Good quality food served speedily. Decent beer and a pool table ( not a french one as it confuses me with no pockets!). Price was very reasonable and easy for formula menu . This included salmon and good french dry hung ham for the starters. Also a half carafe of local vino.This was a Friday night, no need to book.
Went 2 times in 3 days, the warmth welcome of the employees create the difference, the food is reasonably price and tasty. Salads Basque, Goat Cheese, Omelette, Salmon with champagne sauce, Tenderloin steak, cheese plate. The clientele is mainly hotel client on half board and some retired silver generation, but surely the most affordable restaurant in the Area, with another address in Marcillac.
