Used this motel as a base for exploring the D Day Invasion beaches and Pegasus Bridge etc. We were delighted with the place it was just as you would imagine 'Crossroads Motel ' would be like! Staff are brilliant and very helpful. We had very little French and they very little English but it didn 't matter, with a lot of mutual laughter and muddling we could communicate between us. It was so nice to meet French people who cared and were so open and friendly. Spotless Bar but this does close early as does the Cafeteria style restaurant that serves basic but tasty food . There is a more formal restaurant as well but this was closed on our visit. We stayed two nights in small but clean comfortable quiet rooms. You can buy a drink from the restaurant bar and take it to your room should you wish).3 pommes is situated just off one of the main roads into Bayeux from the motorway but set back so traffic noise is not an issue. It 's very quiet . Ideally situated for the motorways 5 mins) and Beaches 10 mins), Bayeux 5 mins). All in all a very pleasant stay and I would go again without hesitation and that 's praise from me as I 'm VERY fussy.

I didn't think twice about giving this place 5* because it ticked all the boxes. This isn't fine dining but it is absolutely typically French. The waitress, a middle aged lady was delightful, smiling and cheerful, and so helpful with my, now forgotten, school French. There are 3 menus; a plat du jour, 2 courses, or 4 courses, ranging from €7.90 to €11.90. There is a simple standard menu with two daily specials, drinks are around £2.50. My daughter and i visited on 3 occasions and only missed out on Saturday as it wasn't open for lunch, a real shame as we then went to Port-en-Bessin where we had a really poor, contrasting experience (see my review of that towns worst rated restaurant). When I'm next in Bayeux this is where I'll head for!

Stayed here overnight on our cycle tour of Normandy. We couldn't be bothered to hunt around for a restaurant so decided to try this one. Fairly basic fare on offer but there was a large salad bar and the daily special of Chicken Provencal was tasty and very good value. It's a bit Canteen like but it was clean and had very friendly staff. Bonus for us was the bar area that did a nice croissant and cafe creme to set us up for the day ahead we actually had two of both as they were so good and reasonable as well.

A friend and I were on our way to Bayeux and we wanted to have a quick lunch first. We saw last lots of cars stopped there and we were not disappointed. You can choose betweem the restaurants or the cafeteria. We opted for the cafeteria where we had a choice of many salads, 2 plats du jours and lots of desserts. We had the duck and it was very. We skipped the desserts but what we saw looked quite good. At 7.90 euros it certainly was great value. Very kid friendly C
