I ordered the Seafood Linguini special, which is one of my go-to dishes at Italian restaurants. While it took some time for my food to arrive, the place was busy and the kitchen is small. When my dish finally came, I was pleasantly surprised to see full-sized scallops instead of the smaller ones often used. They were cooked to perfection. The clams and shrimp were also well proportioned and well prepared. I suspect the linguini might have been homemade because, if it wasn’t, it was exceptionally good for store-bought pasta. Third times a charm! We have enjoyed the food here consistently since they opened, but they have struggled at the front, service end. Tonight's visit leads me to believe that issue is resolved in a wonderful way! Our first visit, they just opened and the owner explained his server called in sick. He was honest that serving was not his strength so we enjoyed an amazing meal and understood he was adjusting under difficult circumstances. We were looking for a place to have dinner on Saturday night and chose this restaurant. Overall, our experience was enjoyable. We started with calamari and garlic bread, both of which were tasty. For my main course, I ordered fettuccini with pesto, and I also had the Oreo cheesecake for dessert. Both the pasta and dessert were excellent! To top it off, they had Moretti beer on tap, which was a delightful surprise since I had just visited Rome in the fall. The service was very good despite the restaurant being quite busy. Now, back to the veal—just as I was enjoying it, I bit into an undercooked piece. It was an unusually large section, located just below the end. I brought this to the server's attention so that the cook/owner would be informed. The server returned with the same reason I mentioned concerning the noise. My husband ordered cake after a couple of other choices, and honestly, I believe they should have offered to remove the cake from the bill given the hassle. Had a wonderful experience at your restaurant last night! Love to have found such an authentic Italian restaurant. Albeit we had to rush off a bit early, we were happy to take our butternut squash ravioli dishes (specials) with us and devour them at the soccer field! Also, very impressed with the portion sizes! We will definitely be back and less rushed. Server was super friendly and the ambiance was wonderful. Love your little patio!
Food was as authentic as eating at my moms house, only difference was she wasn't at the back cooking. Its old school Italian food like no other. The pizza is great, their sauces are authentic, portions are big so bring your appetite. You may wonder why this food tastes different from the other places you've been at its simple this is authentic Italian food. Staff is great. Real cool was the wine barrel sink. Cant wait to come back.
