Went for brunch. Currently being run out of a room on the 2nd floor that is not the restaurant. Despite being nearly empty it took almost a half hour to get a coffee. The fare was similar to that of a mainstream hotel’s complimentary breakfast with some bagels, toast, croissants, fruit, yogurts, cheese and cold cuts. Additionally there were waffles under a heat lamp that were cold and eggs/bacon/sausage in buffet containers. The egg’s appeared to be very low quality. No omelette station or the like. The fabric of the seats were stained. The ambience was basically just a small convention room with tables. Very disappointing all around. Maybe good when it’s back in the restaurant, but for now...
In a decor that is airy, elegant and pleasant, but fairly formal (hotel chain obliges ?!), the brunch / buffet offered at Renoir is perfectly satisfactory: the classics of the genre are offered and prepared flawlessly; more original dishes (oyster, half-cooked swordfish, etc.) bring a touch of taste, gastronomic elegance and appreciable originality. The quality is everywhere in the stalls and not too many and disparate dishes available this Sunday noon from July The price of this buffet is high but the price is justified.
By far one of my favorite fine dining spots to date. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m visiting. Food was unbelievable the chef really knows what they are doing. The staff was so attentive and friendly. Ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner. I highly recommend the pork shoulder entree and scallops appetizer. And any bottle of wine honestly.
The brunch breakfast was absolutely delicious very large choice of dishes took Egg Montrealey that was delicious altough served not as worm as they could be. And on the healthy side took a fruit platter . Service was very swift and efficient. A place not to miss for all type of meals. Already had lunch and diner there !

Seated for 10min Finally flag someone down and ask of we may have some coffee to behind at least and am scolded that breakfast is over in 1 minute. Look lady we've been waiting on you for ten. Poor kid must have been having a bad day, but continued with the rest of the staff, all seem very unhappy to be serving anyone.
Lunch at the Renoir. Mandatory passage during my stays in Montreal. What can we say if not that Olivier Perret is a great chef who highlights this restaurant in the heart of the Sofitel. Quality products and flavors at the rendezvous. An unmissable address. A hotel restaurant that goes beyond the classics.
In this classy dining room of the upscale Sofitel hotel you can get a tasty - and healthy - breakfast. Their crepe with asparagus and apples and feta is clean and crisp, and will leave you feeling satisfied, and virtuous. Some of their dishes come with a pastry. The pain au chocolat is delicious!
The experience was warm and inviting. The hostess was pleasant and we did wait to be seated. Our waitress was very friendly and polite and once our meals arrived it was well prepared, tasty and the servings were very appropriate. The coffee was strong and hot just as we enjoy it.
