This restaurant, under previous management, was one of our favorites. We would ski in, go to the self serve counter or get a hot chocolate at the bar, and have a great lunch. Today we learned the management, new management, has changed everything, for the worse.While the burger was honestly pretty good, service was arrogant, slow and unapologetic for mistakes. My son ordered a hot wine before we got there, and the said his credit card did not work, so we paid with another card only to learn late that the had nailed his card.For our lunch, the brought four of six dishes, but forgot the other two. Don't go here expecting to eat any time soon. Service is chaotic (probably stemming from the boss rushing around telling the staff to stop doing what they're doing and do something else) and you may need to physically interpose yourself between a sever and their wandering target.Once your food arrives it is ordinary. nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing to write home about. Had a lovely lunch yesterday on the Sitelle Terrace in beautiful sunshine. Chose the entrecote steak at 24 euros. Average price for mountain restaurants in the 3 valleys it seems. Really tasty steak, a good size portion and it came with nice homemade chips and a simple green salad. Saturdays are never usually busy on the slopes in Meribel so this lunch rounded off a great morning skiing for me. Service was both quick and very friendly. Reading some other previous reviews I can only assume they arrived when the terrace was already full and busy. Normally I choose early or late lunches as at about 1pm all mountain restaurants are absolutely heaving. And at this time the slopes are sooo lovely...
Ce restaurant a une superbe terrasse ensoleillée et des propriétaires très sympathiques. La cuisine est savoyarde et assez simple mais parfaite pour la montagne. Les steaks sont TOUJOURS bons ici et il y a une délicieuse soupe de légumes pour les jours froids. En bas, il y a maintenant un snack-bar fast food pour ceux qui ont un budget limité ou qui sont pressés. Super emplacement sur la piste Sitelle. Ils font aussi de délicieux croissants à 10h tout juste sortis du four !! Parfait avec un chocolat chaud fait maison en profitant du soleil sur la terrasse du Mont Vallon. Un de nos arrêts café préférés le matin.

Visité à nouveau en avril 2018 et le soleil brillait, le steak était parfaitement cuit, très savoureux et de taille raisonnable. Le service était sympathique et ce fut un merveilleux long déjeuner dans un cadre magnifique. C'était autrefois un restaurant self-service et, en regardant les critiques plus anciennes, je pense qu'ils ont eu quelques problèmes la première saison avec un service de serveur complet. Mais en 2018 je l'ai trouvé super pour un déjeuner au soleil. Bien recommandé, mais peut-être réserver pendant la partie chargée de la saison plutôt que de simplement accumuler.
Arrêt rapide pour le déjeuner, des plats fraîchement préparés délicieux, des portions très généreuses, malheureusement je n'avais plus de place pour les puddings appétissants. J'ai souvent skié devant cet endroit, mais je ferai désormais un détour pour y retourner car tout était si agréable dans un charmant style rustique de montagne.
We went there to have some hot drinks when skiing as the place is by the slope.We could sit in a deck-chair outside on the terrace and enjoy the sunshine.There were not many people as it was late in the afternoon, the service was quick enough though the latte macchiato was nothing special.
C'est un excellent rapport qualité-prix et une excellente cuisine au pied des pistes avec des vues imprenables sur les montagnes. Que demander de plus ? Le personnel est très amical et le service est bon.

Excellent lunch stop. I had lost a ski pole and the restaurant gave me a replacement. It was very kind of them. I recommend stopping here.
