This restaurant, under previous management, was one of our favorites. We would ski in, go to the self serve counter or get a hot chocolate at the bar, and have a great lunch. Today we learned the management, new management, has changed everything, for the worse. While the burger was honestly pretty good, service was arrogant, slow and unapologetic for mistakes. My son ordered a hot wine before we got there, and the said his credit card did not work, so we paid with another card only to learn late that the had nailed his card. For our lunch, the brought four of six dishes, but forgot the other two. We asked nicely for the other orders, but they said something happened, an without comment or apo...

Don't go here expecting to eat any time soon. Service is chaotic (probably stemming from the boss rushing around telling the staff to stop doing what they're doing and do something else) and you may need to physically interpose yourself between a sever and their wandering target.Once your food arrives it is ordinary. nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing to write home about. And at 20 euros for the plat-du-jour lasagne and a few lettuce leafs you won't feel you got your money's worth. The location, on the other hand, is ideal and probably the restaurant is resting on its laurels from having a captive audience scooped up from half of the Mottaret runs with zero competition. If you ca...

I'm always keen to try new places on my annual 3V skiing trip and the Sitelle had always been previously passed by at high speed en route from Platieres to Mottaret. So I stopped for an impromptu lunch when skiing alone one day. Approaching 2pm the place was virtually empty so finding a seat wasn't a problem. I ordered the diots (rustic sausages) from a somewhat surly and miserable waiter, which arrived with a curious cheesy lentil accompaniment which was remarkable for its utter tastelessness. I never usually add salt to meals but this was an exception, just to get some kind of flavor into the dish. Sausages were OK, but for a total of 37euros including a 1/2 bottle of wine it was bordering...

We went there to have some hot drinks when skiing as the place is by the slope. We could sit in a deck-chair outside on the terrace and enjoy the sunshine. There were not many people as it was late in the afternoon, the service was quick enough though the latte macchiato was nothing special.
