we celebrated 2016 silvester on the godesburg and it was unfortunately not a nice evening.At first we were put into a seperate room (together about 40 people at 4 tables)where it was pulled from all sides so that after a short time we had already had ice-cold legs and feet.This was done after demand at the waiter by him with panzertape. the food had been waiting for itself very long. we were invited to brunch here on the second Christmas day. parking was only possible at the foot of the mountain. so they first invited the rod up, which used the chair to the top, and the driver had to handle the steps up. first you enter the crowded garderobe, actually wind-catching. on the left there is the huge ritter hall where we should be put. but we had luck, because we were 7 people and there was only a free 6-story. so we were allowed to sit in the area where the menu guests were hosted. Our last night and this was a special place to come for it. The view is amazing. Good value for such a high class restaurant. My friend and I shared a beetroot carpaccio to start, our husbands had carrot and ginger soup, served in large glass bowls. Dorado served on a ratatouille style vegetables with gnocchi for mains. Beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. A nice bottle of local red wine went very well. A wonderful, unforgettable place that we would very much like to return to one day.
we spent the silvester evening at godesburg. so the location is something very special. an old castle with beautiful views over bonn into the Rhine Valley. That was fantastic. eating was plentiful and it also tasted great. but and we couldn't understand that. when about 19 o'clock is then it is not in order when eating is served only by 22 o'clock. one sat at the table drank his preferred drink and waited for it to start eating. another minus point for me was the too small dance floor.

In view of high-priced courts, especially at events, the overall concept is not true. a pianist with sometimes too loud background music replaced not yet good eating. the brunch buffet is unclearly badly positioned and is badly refilled. It also looks accordingly when the first guests have arrived. the service is sometimes very negligent and often overwhelms. you quickly have the feeling of mass production, a beautiful ambiente does not come about.
the restaurant has a great plan, supernetten service and delicious food, but...... we were there to the easterbunch, and the organization was just bad, it was hardly relocated and the appetizers would be much too early. but the worst was the cockroach on the second highest stage down to the toilets! this must not be in such a (expensive) restaurant, at all not at the bright day and at this season, which makes it to a much more viecher close!
dear team of godesburg, very warm thanks for the very friendly and fast service yesterday evening. love greeting the chef chef and again thanks for the very tasty preparation of food. We felt very comfortable with them, the great view, the eating, the beautiful room and the beautiful evening we enjoyed very much.
now yes, a visit to godesburg to have a cappuccino there. the restaurant decorated in white, today not designed for the touri, but a modern society. the godesburg was then unfortunately still too, so that I did not get into the tower. next visit I hope for better weather and more happiness.

lunch at a family holiday with 20 guests. very nice, nicely decorated separee with fantastic view, attentive and friendly service, very neat eating, good wine - for the occasion everything was arranged very nice, all guests were satisfied.
even if in recent years the line has changed again and again the quality remains good. we always go to the coffee or in the summer outside for lunch or visit one of the seasonal events.
