Finally earning a third Michelin Star in 2007, some fifteen years after Chef Claus-Peter Lumpp took over the kitchen following years at Louis XV, Bareiss Restaurant resides inside the hotel founded by Hermine Bareiss in 1951 and lives up to its accolades in terms of Food as well as service. communicated that I was a pesceter at the arrival as I did not want to cause too much annoying (to avoid a vegetarian home and generally other animal products). on the first night I was served as a main menu with pork and promised to get another menu next night. that didn't happen. I complained that it would be set right next night, which did not happen again. at this point I gave up most of the courses for the rest of the stay, which a canvas in a ridiculously expensive 5-star superior hotel with a highly praised kitchen.

This is a true 3-star restaurant with all that comes with it: setting, service, food of course and a great wine. Top classic food to be clear (no adventurous nor experimental treats here), and an hommage to the quality of german wine. Price tag was even reasonable. .

this place offers enormous vegan meals. I have to try her tee to see how they brewed it for her. very cozy European interior. the owner, the chef, will shew after their meal.
