General A sophisticated experimental cuisine for guests who love the surprise. Service The service was friendly and tried. But the calculus of the table did not stop her until she walked by turning a pitch we overlooked. We've helped ourselves with a tempo bag cloth. I raised the table, my wife pushed the pace down. How to help yourself in the best restaurant Oldenburgs ... There were 4 waiters present at Halbleerem Local (Sunday, 2 hours before TV duel Merkel Steinbrück). From ignorance of the type and size of the appetizers we first ordered only the drinks (open Blanc de Noir, Rosa Secco and horrendously expensive water) and two appetizers. We had to order the main dishes, depending on the appetite. It is irritating that the menu shown on the internet deviates from the printed in the local area. This requires debris and replanation. We ordered liver parfait in the leaf dough coat (approx. € 10) and a gambasalate (approx. € 16). The parfait was in the form of two leaves and the gambasalate (photo) visually more appealing with fennel, crossis, avocado cream and salad leaves on a square plate. Despite the slightly burned Pepperoni and the neutral avocado cream, the salad wounded me very well (3 4 stars). After the plate was empty, I had a little appetite; but also for a main dish. There was another appetizer with a roasted scallop; these but only together with lukewarm raspberry foam. That seemed to be a little too daring. So I looked at my wife's plate. She ate very hesitant. Don't you like it? Yeah, but it's so powerful. Would you like something? I can't do it. I got some foliage roll cut off and fed this part. Plopp, I've been completely tired too. One has to imagine that one eats about 200 g of liver sausage in a leaf doughcroissant. Saturation is similar. We also award 3 4 stars for the Parfait, but because of the too large portions each draw 1/2 star. If we had inadvertently ordered a main dish, it would have fallen unforgivably. Generic chefs should be able to assess the quantities of starters and main dishes. The ambience The entrance area is somewhat consumed. Heavy door, scraped paint on the steps. Otherwise modern larger room facing the kitchen and the theatre. Many small square two-seater tables, ideal for a romantic evening when you can see the partner in the public. That doesn't look like a saturating portion, and the price? I wouldn't have managed to get the liver sausage in a foliage dough, but it's quite fat.
