Restaurant Bigote Verde Bern

This is a really agreeable, casual, easygoing place (the underground dining room holds about 5 foldable bench style tables : in summer the terrace appears to be nice too). A place to sit around with some cold Mexican beers, savour the sandwich style food, and slam down...a tequila or five. A welcome far cry from the Tex Mex industrial complex of Desperado or Papa Joe's. A bit off grid in terms of location can't really walk here to/from the Old Town watering holes, but just a couple of bus stops away. Definitely recommended for a relaxed bite to eat or a lazy evening start. Prices are more than fair. Will return regularly.

Super good Mexican dishes! Group meal, we priced the menu at 37. and were not able to try everything because it was so busy. The taste of the dishes was very satisfying! Original and colorful decoration. Not easy to find in the evening, the entrance is not well lit. The restaurant is located in the basement. Very small tables with reclaimed chairs of all kinds which provide a pleasant setting. But be careful you will leave there with the smell of fried food on your clothes and hair, because the kitchen is open to the small dining room.

Being Mexican, I am critical of claims of real Mexican food outside of the country. SO when I find close to the original taste, I am always delighted to a taste of my home country foods. everything served in the restaurant is authentic Mexican, apart...from some ingredients that obviously can be bought fresh in the local produce market. it is not your average restuarant as it is located on the cellar of a typcial house but this gives it its charm. you go for the orginal taste and not the appearance of fine dining

The restaurant looks very nice and has wonderful art. Staff was very friendly. We ordered the special CHF 30 p/P all you can eat offer and then basically were left to wonder what we will get or if we even ordered, since the waitress didn’t...really explain anything. The Guacamole appetizer was delicious. Everything that followed after (Tacos, Enchiladas) was drenched in grease and covered in way too much cheese. At some point every food variation tasted the same and it was definitely not a pleasant experience. Réservez une table maintenant

We just had dinner here. Turns out it's the national day of Mexico! We didn't know. We ordered a special of the day: tortas del pastor! Oh man! They were delicious! There was live mariachi music and the atmosphere was just perfect! I recommend it...120%!!

Nice atmosphere. Smiley waiter, welcoming place. Very very good food and sympathetic Latin music. If you want to hang out with fiends in a cozy place and welcoming place go there.

Very tasty food, interesting and relaxed atmosphere. All u can eat not suitable for large groups anyway, would recommend for 6th-10th. to go.

The tacos were amazing. The service was very good and friendly. But.... a Coca Cola for Fr. 7. and an espresso for Fr. 5.60....?? Réservez une table maintenant
