This restaurant was recommended to us as one of only two open on Ascension Day, a public holiday, by our bicycle-friendly accommodation. It was a warm evening and we ate outside for part of our dinner and inside for dessert. There were four of us and we each thoroughly enjoyed our meal. They have menus in French and German and when I struggled with a few items, the waitress (possibly manager) was able to tell me in English. I had the faux boeuf with pepper sauce. which was steak with a creamy peppercorn sauce which was absolutely delicious. I followed it up with a dish of three sorts of sorbet - the cassis (black currant) was just amazing. My husband said his flammenkuchen with mushroom was just divine. Had we been staying in Drusenheim again tonight, we would most certainly have eaten there again tonight.I think it would have to be one of the best restaurant meals I have ever eaten. The restaurant has an arrangement with our hotel as our hotel does not serve dinner and the restaurant does not have accommodation. If you want lovely but not expensive bicycle friendly accommodation less than 5 minutes walk away, head for the Hôtel à la Courrone d'Or (or is it Couronne, can't recall).

We've been going here for a long time and it never disappoints. The food is always good and reasonably priced. The specials often vary from local or French classics (Tête de veau was excellent) to more unusual ingredients such as Kangaroo. The a la carte has a nice choice of local specialties along with some good salads (especially the one with potato rosti), steak and meat dishes. The fried cheese is very good as are the Lewerknepfles (Home made liver dumplings). The service is warm and friendly and great if you have children. This is my favorite restaurant in Drusenheim for a good quality traditional meal, you can't go wrong. The tarte flambée is also good.

We ate dinner here two nights in a row. The service was exceptionally warm and friendly and they brought up some toys to occupy our baby who was just learning to walk and who did not want to be constrained by a high chair! The food was great, with generous servings, and very tasty. If we'd stayed in Drusenheim another night I expect we would have eaten dinner here for the third night running.
