My husband & I went to Bombay choupatie last night on a whim. We always see a lineup & since they don't take reservations, we never stopped there. We were actually on the way downtown for Indian food at Guru (with reservations) & decided to try our luck. Glad we did. The wait was 15 minutes as there was not too many people waiting. It is a family run business & we were surprised to hear it has been there for 24 years. The place is very small- I mean very! J'ai visité ce petit resto d'entreprise familiale à Pierrefonds, hier en compagnie de mon amie. Ambiance calme, propre et à la fois convivial. Même si les places sont limitées, le service fut impeccable, avec sourire et en français. La nourriture de spécialité indienne est excellente et les prix valent le déplacement. On connait aussi très bien le dosage des épices qui seront selon vos critères. Vous serez enchanté de sa découverte! Je lui accorde 4.5 points / 5 et je compte y retourner aussi souvent que possible. Aussi disponible commande pour emporter.
This restaurant is amazing and serves authentic Indian food. It's a family owned business and the service is great. However, it can be very difficult to eat there, since they can closes for weeks at a time. Another problem is that it's a very small place, and it can be hard to find a table, especially for a small group, so I would recommend going there as soon as they open. But it's perfect to pick up and eat their delicious food at home!
It all starts with the service. As soon as you walk in your welcomed like family. The food is simply exceptional. The butter chicken is a must. The chole also very good. Nothing here is fried. This is the best Indian restaurant I've ever tried (Bombay mahal doesn't come close!) special thank you to Jay for giving us a perfect dining experience. We would come back just for you but the food speaks for itself. Highly recommended!
This has to be one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. The food was simply amazing. We had the butter chicken, a crêpe I believe called dosa that was so good and left me wanting to come back for more. The owners are really nice and wanted to make sure that we tried a few things that were top items on their menu. We will be back to try some more!
What more to say about Bombay Choupati? Terrific food - consistent high quality. So delicious. Great family run business - all wonderful people. And now, with the recent renovations, it's better than ever; they expanded (slightly), completely renovated, but (thankfully) kept the recipes exactly the same...Praise butter chicken!
This is a great spot for delicious food with good service, great for take-out as well. I've been many times and the food is always really good. I prefer the goat dishes over the chicken (sometimes dry), but all the vegetarian plates are delicious and the naan is amazing.
I already had dinner last year and I found the butter chicken amazing. After one year and tried a lot of other Indian restaurants, I can say that bombay choupati cooks the best butter chicken in Montreal!Try it! You will not be disappointed!Service is excellent too.
