This is my father's favorite restaurant. We've been going there for many years. Mostly good things to say, and a few recommendations. Good: I had the butterfly shrimp, my son had the grilled shrimp, my daughter had the fried fish and my dad the perch. Those are the meals I tasted (I didn't taste my mom's chicken shish kebab) The grilled shrimp tasted like it was grilled on flames (as opposed to grilled in the oven) and my son and I really liked it. Both the perch and the fish were crispy and not greasy at all. My dad and daughter loved their meal. I loved the butterfly shrimp. It was very flavorful. It is my go to meal there. They have the best potatoes. Crispy outside, mushy inside... Yum!...
On my way back from Québec City, I stopped at Casa Flora for a quick dinner before continuing my treck home. They do not serve liquor or wine, it is a bring your own wine establishment. A bit of a disapointment but not their fault, this is the type of restaurant. I ordered a breaded shrimp plate that was quite greek style (sort of an imitation of Casa Grecque). At first, the look was ok but when the tasting began, the rice was bland from having sat in the warm table for to long. The same goes for the garlic butter that tasted almost stale (again coming from the steam table). All in all, the food was acceptable at best. Will not return.
Hard chicken skewers that was undercooked inside. Rubbery on the outside. Under seasoned. The cheese the use for the pizza is falling apart and becomes like a sandy paste in the mouth. I don't quite get how this place got everyone raving about the food. Sad. It's not often that we don't get proper reviews from trip advisor.
I ordered the fruit plate...grapes were unwashed, which can only conclude that all fruits were more than likely unwashed as well before being prepped....GROSS...fruit need to be washed before being consumed, they travel far and G*d only knows what peoples hands have touched before.... Not likely to EVER return. Réservez une table maintenant
