We've been going here sporadically for 35 years. It was terrific when it was fast a hole in the wall on Faillon Street. The two locations share many things including, it seems, the cook who makes the Kibbe Akras, one of my perennial favs. This visit, it didn't seem up to measure up to how excellent my memory told me it should be. Not bad, but...On the plus side, there are some new items on the menu. The Cheese Roll is actually eight pencil sized 'rolls' kind of like taquitos, filled with a pleasant mild creamy cheese lightly spiced. Not bad. Excellent Lebanese cuisine , same great quality and unchanged food every time we are there ( in the last 20 years)Atmosphere is friendly, service is cordial and food without words - EXCELLENT everything you order is a sure betGood desserts and especially the the a la menthe at the end of the feastRecommended for families with kids and celebrations - the Happy Birthday song ( in cha-cha-cha rithm) is played upon request ( sometimes we ordered only for fun)
We have been going to this restaurant for the last 20 or so years...we have never and I repeat never had a bad experience. Choose any salad for starter and you will be pleased...the steak tartar ( with garlic sauce, raw onions and mint) delightfull, what to say about the numerous lebanes appitizers and the mouth wathering steaks(shish kebabs)...never had a desert ???? why???!
It is a fantastic Lebanese restaurant , amazing desgustation platter as entrée and amazing fattouch salad, very authentic Lebanese and very refined , the wine leaves are really good the hummus and baba ghannouj and the arouss kafta , thanks God the food was not salty nor heavy , we were enjoying the plates we couldn't continue our plates very generous fulfilling plates !

We have been regular customers for years. The Lebanese food is authentic and delicious. Service is fast and efficient. It is pricier than the regular take-out fast food Lebanese places but the quality is not the same. Fresh ingredients and homemade! Very busy on Friday & Saturday nights so reservations are a must!
Bon, mais je ne suis pas certain que c'est le meilleur. Le rapport prix est beaucoup trop élevé pour la nourriture. Service rapide, mais manque de sourire et d'attention. J'y retournerai probablement, mais pas trop souvent.
La carte est très variées et les plats dans mon cas un assortiment son bon.Cela manque toutefois de finesse.Le restaurant quant à lui se trouve au milieu d'une zone commerciale très impersonnelle.
Le propriétaire nous a fait découvrir à travers une série de plats traditionnelles les charmes de la cuisine Libanaise. Le service fut impeccable.Expérience culinaire très enrichissante

If you want to taste real lebanese stuff and not Amir, Daou is the place. Expensive for lebanese but you really get for what you pay. Again it's not Amir.
Nice meal and atmosphere! The waiters were excellent, took care of each detail and gave us good advice!
