This restaurant is new to Villeneuve sur Lot and has fresh modern decor, plenty of space between tables, comfortable seating and is spotlessly clean throughout. It is located near to the cinema near the banks of the R Lot. The service is excellent without being...over fussy. We have visited on several occasions at lunch time and on an evening. The seafood platter is excellent as are the specials which change regularly. My favourite was the swordfish venetian style and the lobster lasagne. My least favourite was the lobster which was griddled and tasted bitter and chewy. The wine list is good and they usually have a good value special white wine at around 12 euros a bottle. We ate here for the first time last week and were greatly impressed by the quality of the fish, the standard of cooking as well as the service. I had the cod which was one of the most perfectly cooked that I have ever tasted!...(There are meat dishes available on the a la carte offerings) In addition to the main restaurant menus there is an oyster bar with an additional tapas menu. There is a very good wine list with reasonable prices. There is a small terrace outside, overlooking the convenient parking but the interior is a surprisingly restrained modern, very comfortable dining room with well spaced tables. Congratulations to everyone involved in this enterprise it deserves to do very well...
Nous sommes allés en groupe de 6 dans ce restaurant car 2 membres de notre groupe habitent près de Villeneuf-sur-Lot et avons recommandé le restaurant. Le restaurant est relativement récent et a ouvert ses portes il y a peut-être 12 mois, ce qui peut expliquer le manque de critiques. Nous avons tous mangé de très bons plats de fruits de mer, notamment des pâtes aux fruits de mer, du bar, de la sole et de la lotte. Tous étaient bons même si le chutney aux pruneaux n'était pas génial et accompagnait la lotte. Excellents desserts et une facture raisonnable autour de 40 euros chacun, vin compris.
Belle soirée pour manger dehors et serveurs sympathiques. Cependant, la sélection de tapas (les cinq) était pour la plupart décevante, surtout pour un restaurant soi-disant spécialisé dans le poisson. Apparemment, les calamars de batterie standard et un autre poisson acheté en grande quantité. Pas le poisson fraîchement préparé que nous attendions. Les crevettes étaient correctes, ainsi que les alevins, mais difficile de se tromper. Nous avons également été surpris de ne pas pouvoir nous asseoir et commander un verre avant, car nous sommes arrivés avant notre réservation à 19h30.

Nous avons passé un agréable déjeuner en terrasse. Le plat du jour était des moules frites que nous avons tous les deux apprécié. Les frites étaient croustillantes et la montagne de moules plein de saveur. Les entrées étaient excellentes, notamment la soupe de poisson et le taboulé avec des moules. Notre repas était accompagné d'un verre de vin, d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix à 15,50 euros. Le service était agréable et efficace. Un excellent rapport qualité-prix.
Les entrées étaient bonnes, mais la soupe de poisson "Maison" avait plutôt le goût d'une soupe aux champignons. Bien que "Maison" ait été annoncé sur le menu, lorsque j'ai exprimé ma déception, on m'a dit que c'était le marchand de poissons local qui l'avait faite (encore plus surprenant qu'elle n'ait pas le goût de poisson !) Le plat de poisson à l'aïoli était frais, mais les légumes accompagnants étaient un peu fades. Je n'y retournerai pas de sitôt.
You would never expect the bar and restaurant décor was so well done form the outside of this place. We arrived on a Monday public holiday and the only disappointment that the lunch menu didn't apply. Apart from that the food and service was top...notch. Really enjoyed the oysters and the sole. My kids' Magret of duck was a tad rare but great taste and tender too. Recommended!
a good menu with some delicious seafood and a very nice bottle wein recommended by the waitress that was helpful and pleasant. but the place was so bright that you felt like you could be interrogated at some point. also the choice. the music did not seem in harmony with the style, not mention price range the restaurant tried to reach. a bit too loud and brash.

This bright and modern restaurant, in one of the best locations in V-S-L, opened in Spring 2014 and is destined to be one of the best two or three in town. Superbly fresh fish, interesting combinations, with vegetables given due prominence, this is talented cooking...and willing service. Brilliant!
